1. Wardell – Matthew "Wardell" Yu is a former CS:GO player who retired from Valve's shooter in April 2020, so that he could get on the Valorant train. Ever since then, he's been playing Valorant. He currently plays for the NA powerhouse TSM. (Credit: Adela Sznajder/DreamHack)
2. TenZ – Similarly to Wardell, Tyson "TenZ" Ngo is also an ex-CS:GO pro. He played for Cloud9 and simply switched from their CS:GO division to the Valorant one in 2020. After not finding success with his team, he retired from competitive Valorant, but then returned and currently stands in for Jay "sinatraa" Won in Sentinels. (Credit: TenZ via Twitch)
3. Aceu – Brandon "Ace" Winn used to play CS:GO, but retired in 2019 to go pro in Apex Legends. He then left Apex in 2020, in order to focus on full-time streaming. Currently, he's not competing, but his skill in Valorant is quite impressive, and he can easily go toe to toe with most pro players. (Credit: NRG/Respawn)
4. Hiko – Spencer "Hiko" Martin has almost a decade of experience in CS:GO and that's why it came as a surprise to many fans, when the player decided to jump ship to Valorant. Hiko was the centerpiece around which 100 Thieves formed their Valorant squad, and he has remained with the team for almost a year so far. (Credit: ESL)
5. Shroud – Michael "shroud" Grzesiek is one of the most famous Valorant streamers and much like the rest on this list, he used to play CS:GO beforehand. Ironically he often streams things other than Valorant but his comments about Riot's shooter always spark a discussion. Similarly to Aceu, he's not competing in the pro scene. Over a year has passed since the days of the Valorant closed beta and many streamers have come and gone. Some are still active, though, and regularly play Riot's tactical shooter, providing tons of entertainment for all their viewers.
