6. Valorant Bind: We rank Bind last on this list because the teleporters feel pointless on this map. In a lot of matches, we see Teleporter A in the middle of the map that is often poorly used. 5. Valorant Icebox: A really cool theme, but just way too many doors and hallways, which makes calls so hard on this map. Also, the whole bombsite is just kind of gimmicky and tacked onto an already complex map. This map is too complex in terms of gameplay but has some great flavors and themes. 4. Valorant Split: This map is just average and while the design is excellent the firefights are always going down at the same choke points on A-Site and B-Site. This map really encourages a sit-and-wait style of gameplay. For most of the match, you are just waiting and covering angles, hoping for the peaker's advantage to kick in. 3. Valorant Breeze: It's still too early to have a really solid feel for this map. But what we can say: it is extremely open and is completely different from any other map in Valorant. Why is Breeze so different from other maps? For one, the lack of cover on the map makes for many more sniping opportunities, so Operator players will be able to post up and camp an angle more effectively. The bombsites have no cover. 2. Valorant Ascent: The best part of Ascent is the middle hallway that allows you to access all parts of the map, including spawn points and bombsites. Both A & B Bombsites are well-balanced for attackers and defenders since they have multiple entry points, so you never feel stuck in one part of the map. (Credit: Riot Games)
1. Valorant Haven: What is better than 2 bombsites? Well, obviously a third one! We love Haven because you can play mind games with your opponents. Keep going to Bombsite A for 3 matches, then suddenly throw a curveball and go to B or C. That perhaps throws the enemy team off. The same goes for defense, you can try to predict enemy movements or just rush a bombsite and easily loop back around to ambush the team from behind, even if you chose the wrong bombsite. Valorant Patch 2.08 has arrived and with it came the new map: Breeze. With Breeze, the map count in Valorant is slowly approaching decent a decent number, but still more maps are needed.
