11. Aloned - Team Aze

This isn't the first international event for Aloned, but we do think that out of the entire mid lane pool, he is the weakest of the bunch. He could surprise us though with some spectacular trades, but we doubt he'll be able to withstand the other mid laners in his group. | © R7

10. Grevthar - Red Canids

The Red Canids made it to Worlds 2021 and Grevthar already showed off his skill, but it wasn't enough. This tournament will likely be the same, especially with players like Bay and Xiaohu in his group. | © Red Canids

9. Kisee - ORDER

Kisee is a newcomer on the scene. Oceana was represented by PEACE and Legacy Esports in recent times, but now a new cowboy is in town and that is ORDER. Kisee doesn't have much international experience, which is why he sadly landed so far down in our mid laner tier list. | © Riot Games/ORDER

8. Serin - FastPay Wildcats

No one can deny the passion of Turkish LoL fans, but sadly, we do not think that Serin is in the top half of mid laners for this year's MSI. He helped the team to another international tournament, but it probably won't be enough. | © fastPay Wildcats

7. Yaharong - DetonatioN FocusMe

DetonatioN FocusMe were a breakout team at the 2021 Mid-Season Invitational and World Championship, but there they had Ahria in the mid lane. 6. Froggy - Saigon Buffalo Esports

Finally! We get to see the VCS back in action. It's been too long since any VCS team has been able to compete internationally, and we think the excitement will help catapult Froggy to the forefront and show off true VCS style. | © Froggy Facebook

5. Bay - PSG Talon

PSG Talon seems to be the constant representative of the PCS. Bay is a new mid laner after the departure of Maple, but we think with his experience in the LCK he will be able to show off his skill with ease at this tournament. | © Riot Games

4. Jojopyun - Evil Geniuses

Who would have thought that we would see EG at MSI? Jojopyun was a major reason for the team's success in the LCS. We might be jumping the gun, placing him so high up since he is a very young player and could crumble under the pressure, but if he brings his A-game then he's one of the best at the tournament. | © Riot Games

3. CaPs - G2

Do we even need to say anything about this man? CaPs is just insane. He's one of the best mid laners in the world. He can play anything and when he is playing his best he can simply carry the rest of his team on his back. | © Riot Games

2. Xiaohu - RNG

Xiaohu has switched back from the top lane to the mid lane, playing his signature picks with ease once more. He's a veteran in the LPL and on the international stage, so there is nothing to worry about with him leading his team. | © Riot Games

1. Faker - T1

Did you think anyone else would be number one? Faker has truly had a resurgent year, leading six young players and making calls and plays that the Faker from 4 years would have done. He's having fun playing LoL again and that makes him one scary mid laner going into the tournament. | © Riot Games
