IOC President Thomas Bach expressed the committee's enthusiasm:
This is truly a new era for the IOC. With the confirmation by the IOC Session of the creation of the Olympic Esports Games, we are keeping up with the pace of the digital revolution. The Esports community, represented in our Esports Commission, has enthusiastically engaged with this initiative.
In total, there will be more than 10 games at the Esports Olympics. And rumors have already began circulating about which games to expect. Today, we present you a tentative list of games that might feature in the upcoming Olympic Esports Games.
Games Expected At 2025 Olympic Esports:
League of Legends
Released in 2009, League of Legends has one of the largest and most dedicated competitive fanbases. As a veteran in the esports arena, its inclusion underscores the game’s significant impact on the wider gaming community. This one is very obvious.
Rocket League
First released in 2015, Rocket League combines soccer with rocket-powered cars. Known for its various crossovers with games like Fortnite, it has attracted investments from major esports teams.
