Amazing spiderman 2 — 10. The Amazing Spider-Man 2

This film isn't atrocious, but that is the best thing that I can really say about it. Andrew Garfield does a serviceable job as Peter Parker / Spider-Man, but the film is overly bloated, full of drab special effects and a script that belongs on the better side of a B-Grade action film starring Nicolas Cage. The chemistry between Garfield and Emma Stone remains strong, as usual, but nothing can really save this film from itself. A real "mess". | © Marvel Entertainment & Sony Pictures

Spiderman 3 — 9. Spider-Man 3

This overly bloated, way-too-long film ended Tobey Maguire's career as Spider-Man in a pretty bad way. It might not have been quite as bad as The Amazing Spider-Man 2, but it was just as tedious. It was also a complete shame, seeing as Maguire and director Sam Raimi had delivered Spider-Man one and two with great success. What was the big problem? That all-too common Hollywood-movie-describing adjective, "bloat". | © Sony Pictures

Spiderman 1 — 8. Spider-Man

Maguire's first entry as the titular character is a pretty fun little movie, introducing us to the joys of Tobey Maguire as everyone's favorite spider-person. This is an insanely fun movie, and one that director Sam Raimi made his name with. We know that we've put it only one step better than Spider-Man 3, but the reason for that is clear: most of the Spider-Man movies are fantastic! | © Sony Pictures

Amazing spiderman — 7. The Amazing Spider-Man

This 2012 movie introduced us to one of only two Spider-Man films that featured Andrew Garfield as the main character. It was a big, bold return for the franchise and a lot of fun. It was heralded as one of the most faithful and accurate Spider-Man films in regard to its representation of the comics. That's one of the key reasons why the movie is also considered a bit of a cheesy, campy, affair, but that's okay when you consider just how unbelievably fun and entertaining it was. | © Marvel Entertainment & Sony Pictures

Spiderman 2 — 6. Spider-Man 2

Maguire's second and best effort, Sam Raimi really brought in the big guns to make this as good as he possibly good. You know what? It darn-well worked as well. With Dr. Otto Octavius becoming the central villain of the piece, Spider-Man 2 takes its excellent cast and uses them to the best of their ability. Spiderman homecoming — 5. Spider-Man: Homecoming

Tom Holland's Spider-Man film was honestly his most underwhelming. It was good, sure, and introduced us to the couple of main characters that we have all come to love over the last couple of years. Whist overshadowed a while later by Into the Spider-Verse, Homecoming was a serviceable effort, if a bit long and contrived at points. It leans a bit too heavily on the tedious high school rubbish but, you know what? The rest of the movie was good enough that they could get away with it! | © Marvel Entertainment & Sony Pictures

Spiderman no way home — 4. Spider-Man: No Way Home

The most recent Spider-Man movie to grace us with its presence was No Way Home, a jaw-dropping cinematic stunner that incorporated everything that we loved from Tom Holland's first two films and took it all to an even higher level. Spiderman far from home — 3. Spider-Man: Far From Home

The second Tom Holland Spider-Man movie was by far his best. The reason? Well, they took Spider-Man out of the tried-and-true setting of... well... suburban white America... and set the movie in places that weren't in the United States. Considering how absurdly uncommon that is, it was a breath of fresh hair and made for an exciting ride, with a great villain and great set-pieces. That Prague sequence? Across the Spider-Verse is a visually stunning animated film that expands the Spider-Man multiverse, following Miles Morales and his allies. Its intricate storyline, dynamic animation styles, diverse characters, and emotional depth make it a standout, offering a fresh, exhilarating take on superhero cinema. Spiderman into the spiderverse — 1. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse

Is there really much that needs to be said about Into the Spider-Verse? It's widely regarded as the best Spider-Man movie to ever be made, and... sorry... but we're inclined to agree. This is a movie that has everything we could want – a great cast, with great chemistry, fighting great action scenes, in a stylish world – and inserted that meta-twist in its concept that made everything all the more interesting.
