The Dark Knight Rises got more hate than it deserves. This is a film with a now-iconic villain, and a whole lot of incredible action sequences. Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale's first time at the helm. Batman Begins is an amazing beginning to what would become an iconic and absolutely fantastic trilogy. 2. The Dark Knight

Heath Ledger as The Joker is possibly the most iconic Batman moment in the history of the franchise. One of the best performances ever, this combined with Bale's brooding Batman to create an absolutely frightening film that has long been considered the best in the franchise. "The Batman" introduces Robert Pattinson in the titular role, and it's a neon-soaked masterpiece sprawling with incredible performances, a consuming atmosphere, and a noire aesthetic.
