The German streamer "OhnePixel", who is well known in the Counter-Strike 2 community, is now starting a new project in his career: Founding his own e-sports team with ambitious goals.
Known for opening loot boxes and trading rare skins, OhnePixel has now announced the formation of a new international CS2 team.
OhnePixel's New CS2 Team: Players and Ambitions
The team is built of experienced players from various countries, including Volodymyr "Woro2k" Veletniuk from Ukraine. He plays a crucial role in the team as an experienced in-game leader, and he has good experience in the role, being the former captain of Team Monte.
Other members include Ali "hAdji" Haïnouss from France/Morocco, Tal "meztal" Hahiashvili from Israel, Meytar "AMSALEM" Amsalem from Ukraine, and Vladyslav "Kvem" Korol from Israel.The official name of the team has not yet been decided. In order to assess whether the team can establish itself on a long-term basis, the players were initially signed on a trial basis.
The Road to Qualification: Major Challenges Ahead
OhnePixel's ultimate goal is to qualify for the prestigious Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024, a tournament with a total prize pool of $500,000. To do so, the team must first advance through the Middle East qualifiers, followed by the Asia-Pacific RMR, which will determine the final spots for the main tournament.
It remains to be seen whether OhnePixel will take an active coaching role or act primarily as team owner. More announcements and developments regarding the new team are expected in the coming weeks.
