Donald Trump is now allowed back on Twitch, after a three-year ban.
On January 6, 2021, the infamous protests at the Capitol led to five deaths. As a result, Trump was banned on platforms like Twitch and Twitter.
But now, three years, five months and four weeks later, Twitch have lifted the ban on Donald Trump's account. Twitch have now claimed that Trump's account was unbanned because of his candidacy in the 2024 presidential elections.
We reinstated former President Trump’s channel. We believe there is value in hearing from Presidential nominees directly, when possible. Trump is now the official Republican nominee for US president.

Streaming-Comeback Came Sooner Than We Thought
Only a few days after the unban, his Twitch account, with almost 150,000 followers, went online. In an almost two-hour-long stream, users were able to listen to multiple speeches by Donald Trump and his vice-presidential candidate at his rally in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Twitch Follows Twitter
In November 2022, only one month after Elon Musk bought Twitter for 44 billion dollars, the tech-mogul lifted Trumps ban on the platform. Musk did so after he posted a survey on his account, which showed that 51.2 % of voters wanted Trump's account to be reinstated.

Ever since that ban was lifted, Trump only posted once: His mugshot with a link to his website. The former president uses Truth Social as the primary platform now.
