LoL: The Best Malphite Skins

Marble Malphite

This isn't only the worst Malphite skin, it's a candidate for the worst skin in all of League of Legends. There literally isn't anything good that can be said about this skin, and I challenge you to. Everything from the legs, the color and his model, it just sucks. This is one of the skins in desperate need of an update. Yikes. | © Riot Games

Coral Reef Malphite

One bad skin after the other. This gallery is turning into a roast, and by the end of it, I can guarantee that there won't be anything left but his ashes. Riot could've just copied the Swamp Thing from DC, and it would have looked decent, but no, they went into a different direction... Let's just say that direction ended in a dead end, if the dead end was the back end of a truck. | © Riot Games

Shamrock Malphite

I'm starting to run out of words to describe how badly his skins look... Having a St. Patrick's Day skin in League is a cool idea, but why the hell would you choose Malphite for the skin? And then they don't even put any effort into the skin. I mean, a green glow and a four leaf clover stuck to his chest, doesn't make me wanna celebrate St Paddy's day. | © Riot Games

Glacial Malphite

Now, we move to the next category of Malphite skins. But this category also stinks. Yes, this skin looks better than the previous ones, but does it really? This is like saying you improved at school, and instead of getting a 30 in a test, you got a 32. Yeah, it's an improvement, but in the grand scheme of things, it's still awful. | © Riot Games

Ironside Malphite

I imagine this is what Darth Maul must've felt like living on that garbage dump all those years, just an endless onslaught of trash – same thing with these Malphite skins, let's be honest. I didn't even realize Malphite was in this splash art, even Riot is trying to hide him. If that doesn't speak volumes, I don't know what does. | © Riot Games

Odyssey Malphite

I promise, this is the last bad skin Malphite has. Finally, we're at the end of this sad, but kinda fun roast. Having said that, what the hell is going on here? Just for comparison, take a look at the other Odyssey skins. Like the Kha'Zix one or the Aatrox one, and then you come back here, and see this skin... Is this even an Odyssey skin? I mean, what the hell happened here? Like, I'm really curious to know as to what the thought process was behind this skin. Seriously. | © Riot Games

Old God Malphite

Finally, finally, finally, we have arrived at the good skin section of this gallery. Old God Malphite is a super cool concept, and it was well translated into the game. Even though, I have no idea which old god this is supposed to be, the eyes all over his body kinda remind me of Alucard from Hellsing. Just saying. | © Riot Games

Mecha Malphite

This skin just looks super sexy, specifically his splash art. If this skins wasn't inspired by the movie Pacific Rim, then I'm the Duke of Cambridge because the resemblance is uncanny. This skin looks intimidating, like a killer robot. Not like the others that look like some rag doll toy from the 18th Century. | © Riot Games

Dark Star Malphite

And to close out this questionable collection of rocks is the super awesome Dark Star Malphite skin. The only point worth criticizing is his face, which is kinda floating around in the middle of nowhere, but that aside, this skin rocks. Definitely a must-have for all Malphite players out there. | © Riot Games

Malphite, Malphite, Malphite, what the hell can one say about this rock? Apart from the fact, that he is a rock, he has always been a super reliable top laner, but he has since fallen out of favor for some other top laners that can do his job a bit better. Most of the time you would pick Malphite for his ulti, but when Ornn was introduced into the game, there really wasn't a point in picking Malphite anymore, since Ornn's ult it as good, if not even better. The only option now is to go full troll mode, and play him as a full AP champ, but let's be honest here... you ain't winning any games with that.

Troll build aside, I think it's time he finally gets some sort of update. He would be perfect for a mid scope update once Rell finally gets hers. His kit really needs to be modernized a bit. But not only his kits needs an update, his skins could definitely use a little pick me up. Ranking his skins, is like ranking pieces of garbage. It's not pretty, let's just leave it at that.
