4. THE LEGEND OF ZELDA: THE WIND WAKER: Released in 2003 for the GameCube, this Zelda game has fantastic cell-shaded graphics. The game has aged well and still looks great. The visuals are outstanding and do not feel as outdated as the graphics from other Zelda games like Ocarina of Time. This Zelda game also has Link sailing the seas and exploring islands by controlling the wind. 1. THE LEGEND OF ZELDA: BREATH OF THE WILD: Released in 2017 for the Nintendo Switch, this Zelda game shook up the classic formula and did away with the linear nature of previous Zelda games. By making it open-world and more choose-your-own-adventure, it refined what a Zelda game could be. Breath of the Wild is so great, that you could literally play it for hours without progressing the main storyline, but still feel like you progressed towards a more powerful Link. Nothing is explained and no direction is directly given, the entire world is open for your discovery.
