Sergio Busquets - 87 OVR (Barcelona): Busquets plays in one of those positions that allow for some lack of pace, but not all of it. Gerard Piqué - 86 OVR (Barcelona): We're done with Barcelona players after this, we promise. Sergio Busquets' teammate Gerard Piqué may as well have been among the top defenders of the world for an entire decade, but he is totally unusable in FIFA 21 with his 57 pace. Harry Kane - 88 OVR (Tottenham Hotspur): Compared to the previous two, ol' 'arry's 68 pace makes him a professional sprinter. In reality, that number is way below par for a FIFA 21 striker. Toni Kroos - 88 OVR (Real Madrid): Toni Kroos is pure class in midfield. He is also agonizingly slow in FIFA 21 and just cannot compete at the top FUT level despite great stats in other categories. 91 passing and a 5-star weak foot can't make up for 54 pace in the center of midfield. Karim Benzema - 89 OVR (Real Madrid): The Frenchman is the fastest of our snails with 74 pace. That isn't saying much on a list like this though. On a positive note, Benzema's special cards do approach some more acceptable pace numbers, but we're only considering base cards here and 72 sprint speed as a forward simply doesn't cut it. Greatness on the real football pitch often times doesn't translate well to FIFA 21. The most frequent reason for that is lack of pace. Some positions can tolerate a certain amount of snail trail, but more often than not you need pacey players to compete in FUT.
