You gotta be a special player to do that at Santiago Bernabeu and Carvajal is just that. Almost a decade later he is still one of the best players not only at his club, but for his nation too.

4. Jordi Alba - 86 OVR (Barcelona): Opposite Carvajal, covering the left flank is Jordi Alba. The pacey left back is one of the few remains from Barcelona's dominant days and one of the cards on here that aren't terrible in FUT, at least in the very early stages of the season.

3. Gerard Piqué - 86 OVR (Barcelona): A card that can do no such thing is Gerard Piqué. The center back is just too slow for FUT and quite frankly, he might have become too slow in real life as well. Piqué is still playing at Barcelona, while I'm here making galleries, so who am I to judge?

We looked at FIFA 21 ratings and picked the top five Spanish players according to EA Sports' game. Disclaimer: there was a huge tie at the back end of the list, but we want to limit these to a top five, so Manchester United's David De Gea and Real Sociedad's David Silva missed out by virtue of... not playing for Real Madrid or Barcelona.
