It seems like ever since Squid Game was released and caught the world by surprise with its success, people have noticed that Korean shows are very different from, say, American. In a good way. There's not always a happy ending where the main character survives (Train to Busan flashbacks), it's often harsh and real and other times such complete nonsense that you don't really understand what's going on at all.
