A lot of players complained about Jett being overpowered, so Riot Games delivered. Jett will be receiving a massive change, so let's take a look at what's all the fuss about!
Jett has been an overpowered agent for a long time now. Well not anymore. The upcoming Patch 4.08 will give us the new agent Fade and important Jett changes to her Dash ability. So let's take a look at how Riot Games changed Jett's gameplay!
Jett Dash Changes Patch 4.08 Valorant
With the Operator power, Jett could remove herself from intense situations in an instant with her dash. This poses a problem in Riot Games' plan for competitive gameplay. So the new changes for the Jett Dash will come with a timer:
- Tailwind: On pressing the ability key, after a short delay, Jett activates a 12-second window where she is empowered to immediately dash on the next button press
- Her Tailwind charge is lost whether she Dashes or the window expires, but can still be regained with two kills
How will this affect the Jett mains? Well, there will be a short delay when you activate the timer, meaning you won't be able to instantly dash, even if you double press the ability key. And if you don't dash in the given time, don't expect to dash until you get 2 kills. In Riot Games' words, they tried a lot of variations, but nothing stuck. But that's for the players to decide.
When Will Valorant Patch 4.08 Release?
The Jett changes are set for Patch 4.08, which will be along with Episode 4 Act 3 set to release on April 26th. Though it's believed PBE players will get to test out Jett a bit earlier. And depending on the timezone you're in, the Patch 4.08, along with the Jett change, may hit you a bit later.
