The Umbrella Academy on Netflix will soon enter its grand finale with season 4. We've got the release date, as well as any news regarding the show – we got you covered on all fronts!
Netflix has produced its fair share of originals, but few, if any, are as unique and whacky as the comic book adaptation of Gerard Way's Umbrella Academy. Now that season 4 is on its way, here is everything we know about the upcoming finale, including a potential release date, what the cast might look like and more.
Umbrella Academy Season 4: We Finally Got A Release Date
We're now three seasons deep into the story of The Umbrella Academy and about just as many apocalypse scenarios. Season 4 will wrap up the series and releases on August 8, 2024.
And, to go with the release date, we've got the official trailer for you as well:
Which Cast Members Will Return For Umbrella Academy Season 4?
Looking at the trailer and production footage Netflix provided us with, we can pretty much expect all of our favorite members of this oh, so dysfunctional family to make their return in season 4 of The Umbrella Academy:
- Aidan Gallagher as Number 5
- David Castañeda as Diego
- Justin H. Min as Ben
- Elliot Page as Viktor
- Tom Hopper as Luther
- Emmy Raver-Lampman as Alison
- Robert Sheehan as Klaus
- Ritu Arya as Lila Pitts
- Colm Feore as Sir Reginald Hargreeves
- Yusuf Gatewood as Raymond Chestnut
Thanks to some timeline shenanigans, Hargreeves is back in action and more influential than ever which, considering his behavior in the last season, is pretty bad.
We're pretty happy though to see Luther and Raymond return thanks to that, and apparently, we'll be introduced to a whole new set of interesting villains and "the best season ever".
What Will Be The Plot For Umbrella Academy Season 4?
Regarding the direction the finale to the story of The Umbrella Academy can take, there are a bunch of clues that allow an educated guess.
The final episode of season 3 allowed us to catch a glimpse at this all new timeline that Allison created in her attempt to reunite with the ones she loves.
This not only brought back Hargreeves, but also Luther and Raymond, and in the process also took away the superpowers of our main cast. Luther is no longer going ape-shit, Five can no longer jump, and Klaus can no longer overdose and survive without medical help. A truly devastating fate for him!
Season 4 will probably deal with the aftermath of Allison creating this new timeline, as our “heroes” deal with their powerless new selves, as well as an extremely powerful and influential Hargreeves, who was finally able to reunite with his beloved wife.
Whether Hargreeves will be the final villain of the show, which seems pretty likely, is still up in the air though – we'll keep you updated!
