Five Nights at Freddy's is getting a sequel, and the makers have already revealed a timeline!
Five Nights at Freddy's is back. The recent movie adaptation of the games and books was a huge success, and it seems that the show runners believe the project is worth another film, with FNAF 2 already in the works.
There have been rumors regarding a sequel, and main star Josh Hutcherson has also added fuel to the fire. Thankfully, the sequel has now been confirmed, and we've even got an estimate release date for the film.
Five Night's At Freddy's 2 Release Window Revealed
Not only will Freddy Fazbear and friends make a return to the big screen, but it's also been confirmed that the sequel to the popular Five Nights at Freddy's movie is going to be released in the Fall of 2025.
The original movie was a box office success, raking in $297 million with a mere budget of $20 million. Not a bad deal if you ask me. Well, it seems that Blumhouse is going to roll with the popularity of the FNAF franchise and the sequel is already in the works.
Which characters and actors will return is yet to be confirmed, but it's likely that Josh Hutcherson will reprise his role as the leading man. Matthew Lillard will also most likely be returning as the main antagonist, William Afton. Hopefully we also get another MatPat cameo...
The movie should get a fall release in 2025 just around Halloween, because we all know Hollywood loves spooky content around this time of the year. One warning though, this likely won't be a mere jump-scare movie again, since it is based off the books and other content, not just the games.
