The highly anticipated sequel to the 80s classic "Beetlejuice" is finally here, and the new trailer just dropped! Titled "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice," it brings back Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder, with Jenna Ortega joining the cast as Lydia's daughter.
The sequel to the classic 80s Halloween movie Beetlejuice is finally happening, and the new trailer just dropped! It’s called Beetlejuice Beetlejuice (also known as Beetlejuice 2), and it looks like it's going to be just as wild and fun as the original.
So, Michael Keaton is back as Beetlejuice, and Winona Ryder returns as Lydia Deetz. This time, Lydia has a daughter, Astrid, played by Jenna Ortega. Now, Jenna Ortega should probably be busy working on the second season of "Wednesday," but she's jumping into another one of Tim Burton's spooky worlds instead.
New Faces and Familiar Favorites
The cast is packed with big names. Catherine O'Hara is coming back as Lydia's quirky mom, Delia Deetz. Monica Bellucci is joining the crew as Beetlejuice’s wife, and Willem Dafoe is playing an afterlife cop. How cool is that? Tim Burton is directing again, so you know it's going to have that unique, gothic vibe we all love.
The movie is set to hit theaters on September 6, 2024. From the trailer, it looks like Lydia and her daughter will be dealing with Beetlejuice’s usual craziness, but with some new twists. The best part? It seems like Burton and Keaton are sticking to the same kind of practical effects and handmade feel that made the first movie so special.
Everyone's super excited to see how this turns out. It’s been years in the making, with lots of stops and starts, but now it’s really happening. If you loved the original, this sequel looks like it’s going to be a blast from the past with some awesome new additions. Can’t wait to see it!
