1-22

Chapter 1 Season 4: Infinity Gauntlet

The first ever released Mythic item was the Infinity Gauntlet from Chapter 1 Season 4. In each round of battle royale, this item was only available once randomly on the map. As soon as you picked it up, you were teleported into the air and became Thanos. However, this item was an LTM (limited time mode) item, of which there were many more in the further course of Fortnite, but they will not be considered in this list.

Chapter 1 Season 7: Infinity Blade

The Infinity Blade from Chapter 1 Season 7 could be found on the pedestal at Polar Peak. It granted 200 HP, 200 shield, 50 syphon, and 1 shield added per second. Unfortunately, it caused big chaos during one of Fortnite's first competitive tournaments "Winter Royale", leading to its vaulting due to its overpowering abilities.

Chapter 1 Season X: Batman's Grapnel

During the first collaboration between Fortnite and DC Comics in Chapter 1 Season X the first ever Mythic grappler was released. Batman's Grapnel Gun allows players to quickly traverse the map by shooting a grappling hook at a target location and pulling themselves towards it. This item also deploys a glider automatically when used, enabling rapid movement both horizontally and vertically.

Chapter 2 Season 1: Mythic Goldfish

Along with two other Mythic weapons we saw the Mythic Goldfish released in Chapter 2 Season 1. This item could randomly appear when fishing and was by far the most overpowered item of the three as it could automatically one-hit kill any player you hit with it.

Big change for mythic weapons from Chapter 2 Season 2

Up until this point, every Mythic weapon was based on a collaboration or were simple small items that added to the fun of the game. But starting in Chapter 2 Season 2, you could really see what Epic Game was up to with these Mythic items.

In Season 2, they added another six Mythic weapons spread across five different parts of the map. This led to a significant discrepancy in the strength of the dropspots on the map. POIs such as the Shark, the Agency, the Grotto, the Yacht or the Rig became one of the most overpowered dropspots ever.

Chapter 2 Season 2: Midas' Drum Gun

But only one Mythic could prove to be the best one of this Season and it was the the Midas' Drum Gun. Its exceptional damage output, rapid fire rate, and large magazine size, which together offer superior close to mid-range combat effectiveness, allowing players to quickly eliminate opponents and dominate in fights.

Chapter 2 Season 3: Kit's Charge Shotgun

In Chapter 2 Season 3 we saw the first ever released Mythic Shotgun in the game. The Kit's Charge Shotgun. This weapon is unique because it allows players to charge up their shots, increasing the damage output significantly the longer the charge is held. It had a maximum damage of 229 when fully charged.

Chapter 2 Season 4: Iron Man's Repulsor Gauntlets

In the next Season, Season 4, 14 new Mythical weapons were added to the game, which is why there were so many contenders for the best weapon in this Season. Nevertheless, our choice fell on the Iron Man's Repulsor Gauntlets. These gauntlets provided players with powerful, rapid-fire energy blasts and the ability to hover in the air, giving a significant mobility advantage and making them highly effective in both offense and defense.

Chapter 2 Season 5: Mandalorian's Amban Sniper Rifle

Revolving a Star Wars collaboration in Season 5 you could get the Mandalorian's Amban Sniper Rifle by killing the Mandalorian NPC boss. This weapon was highly regarded for its versatility, as it combined a powerful sniper function with a melee attack capability. It allowed players to deal significant damage from long range with precise shots, while also being able to engage in close-quarters combat using its melee feature, making it a highly effective and sought-after Mythic weapon during the Season.

Chapter 2 Season 6: Spire Assassin's Primal Shotgun

The best Mythic weapon from Chapter 2 Season 6 in Fortnite was the Spire Assassin's Primal Shotgun. This weapon was highly favored for its immense close-range damage, rapid fire rate, and ability to quickly dismantle opponents and structures, making it a dominant choice in close-quarters combat.

Chapter 2 Season 7: Kymera Ray Gun

In Chapter 2 Season 7, we chose the Kymera Ray Gun as the best weapon of the Season due to its continuous beam of energy, which dealt consistent damage over time without needing to reload. Its ability to maintain sustained fire made it highly effective in breaking builds and putting constant pressure on opponents.

Chapter 2 Season 8: Sideways Scythe

In Chapter 2 Season 8 Epic Games released three Sideways Mythics that came with a special feature. They were the first Mythic weapons that could be upgraded. This was done by finding Monster Parts around the map meaning you could go from a gray minigun all the way up to a Mythic. The best of those 3 Mythics was the Sideways Scythe. This melee weapon was highly effective in close-quarters combat, dealing substantial damage and offering unique abilities like the ability to teleport short distances and harvest materials quickly.

Chapter 3 Season 1: The Foundation's MK-Seven AR

My personal favorite Mythic weapon from Chapter 3 Season 1 was The Foundation's MK-Seven AR. It had a lot of versatility and high damage output and it combined the precision of a marksman rifle with the rapid fire rate and mobility of an SMG, making it effective at various ranges and extremely lethal in skilled hands.

Chapter 3 Season 2: Slone's Striker Burst Rifle

In Chapter 3 Season 2 the Slone's Striker Burst Rifle was brought back to the game. Similar to the MK-Seven from the previous Season this weapon became a first person "Aim Down Sights" (ADS) which made it significantly easier to hit shots.

Chapter 3 Season 3: Kamehameha

Later on in Season 3 there was a Dragon Ball Z collaboration which came in with the Kamehameha. Due to its devastating energy beam attack capable of dealing massive damage over a wide area and its ability to clear structures and eliminate multiple enemies with a single blast, it was highly regarded as the most broken Mythic of the Season.

Chapter 3 Season 4: EvoChrome Burst Rifle

Season 4 was a strange one when it came to Mythic items. In the lootpool there was the EvoChrome Shotgun and the EvoChrome Burst Rifle. The more damage you did with these weapons the more their rarity increased which meant you could actually get up to Mythic. The EvoChrome Burst Rifle was known for its balanced combination of high damage per shot, precise burst firing, and versatility across various engagement distances.

Chapter 4 Season 1: Ageless Champion's Shockwave Hammer

In Chapter 4 Season 1 another mobility item was regarded as the best Mythic of the Season. The Ageless Champion's Shockwave Hammer. It allowed players to quickly reposition themselves or escape sticky situations with its powerful shockwave ability, disrupting opponents' builds and providing a tactical advantage in various combat scenarios.

Chapter 4 Season 2: Enhanced Havoc Shotgun

If you were able to knock out Highcard you would get the Vault Card which gave you access to the Enhanced Havoc Shotgun. On release this shotgun did an incredible 250 headshot damage which made it undoubtedly the best Mythic of Season 2.

Chapter 5 Season 1: Nisha’s Striker AR

In Chapter 5 Season 1 we saw another five Mythic weapons added to the game. However, Nisha’s Striker AR was the one that stood out. Without its projectile-based shooting mechanics, this AR would have been excessively dominant. Thanks to its rapid fire rate and substantial base damage, Nisha’s Striker AR proves incredibly potent. Moreover, its effectiveness spans all ranges, rendering it highly adaptable for any loadout.

Chapter 5 Season 2: Mythic Gatekeeper Shotgun

At Grim Gate, one of the best dropspots in Fortnite history, you could get the Mythic Gatekeeper Shotgun after eliminating the boss Cerberus. It can deal devastating close-range damage and is effective even at mid-range, making it versatile in various combat situations. Additionally, its rapid fire rate and large magazine size allow for sustained pressure on opponents, making it a formidable choice for aggressive gameplay styles.

Chapter 5 Season 3: Megalo Don's Nitro Fists

In Chapter 5 Season 3 the Megalo Don's Nitro Fists stand out as the most blatant weapon. In addition to their enormous penetrating power through your opponents' buildings, the Nitro Fists also prove useful for mobility, similar to the Katana from Chapter 4.

Chapter 5 Season 4: Mysterio's Sovereign Shotgun

Chapter 5 Season 4 sees Marvel return to Fortnite. With that comes the addition of a new boss, Mysterio, who is located at the Doomstadt POI. After eliminating him, he drops the mythic version of the Sovereign Shotgun. The Sovereign Shotgun combines a solid amount of damage, a much faster fire rate than the Hammer Pump Shotgun, and most importantly, a relatively large hit box.
