And it was worth it, in their first Duo Cash Cup Finals they placed third, which was followed up by many more great results. Since they started playing, they have placed in the Top 10 multiple times in tournaments, such as in the FNCS Semi-Finals and three Cash Cup Finals. But most importantly, they managed to qualify to the Global Championship later on this year by becoming third place in Major 2 Grand Finals.

Now if you had been told at the start of the year that Chap and T3eny would turn out to be one of the top 10 duos this year, you probably wouldn't have believed them. But after they also had a disappointing Major 1, they decided to look for a new teammate and eventually found each other. When they finished second twice in their first two Duo Cash Cup finals, everyone knew that they were a force to be reckoned with this season.
After Chap, who entered his first Grand Finals as a debutant, and T3eny finished second in Major 2 to qualify for the Global Championship, they picked up right where they left off this season. A back to back first place finish in the first two Duo Cash Cups, with one of those wins including a 28 kill win, which was a new record for a Duo Cash Cup Finals lobby. You're probably wondering why these placings aren't good enough for a much higher position in the list. This is because Chap and T3ny, as well as 8th and 10th place, are duos that have only formed over the course of the year and I want to honor the duos in this ranking that have been consistently among the best duos since the beginning of the year.

After both lost their duo partner after Major 1, Swizzy and Vanyak decided to team up for all the tournaments during Season 2, and they have been incredibly consistent. Since Season 2, the pair have finished in the top 10 nine times out of twelve tournaments played. The highlight was undoubtedly their victory in the Major 2 Grand Finals when they took home the win 200 points clear of the runner-up.

In seventh place, I chose the best German duo of the year, Vadeal and Rezon. Both are regarded as two of the best fighters in Europe. If you look at the results of the tournaments outside of FNCS, you wouldn't necessarily say that they are one of the best duos of this year, because apart from a second place in a Duo Cash Cup Final, you haven't seen much of them. But when it comes to the most important tournament in the Fortnite Competitive scene, the FNCS, both players have shown what they can do. After securing their place in the Grand Finals in both Major 1 and Major 2 with a Victory Royale in the Upper Bracket, their two Grand Finals placings were no less impressive. In Major 1, after leading day 1, they ultimately had to settle for 7th place. In Major 2, however, the duo achieved 4th place, which was enough for them to qualify for the Global Championship

In Queasy and ThomasHD we have two veterans of the game teaming up since last year's OG Fortnite Season. Similar to Rezon and Vadeal, Queasy and Thomas have also attracted little attention outside of FNCS. However, if you look at the results of the two FNCSs played so far, it quickly becomes clear why these two are among the best in the world. ThomasHD, who surprisingly has never won an FNCS in his long career, unfortunately had to settle for second place in Major 1, even though he was only a single point behind first place for the second time in his career. Nevertheless, second place was at least enough to qualify for the Global Championship. Expectations were very low in Major 2 as the duo really didn't deliver any good results throughout the season, and they were also contested by two other duos at the start of Grand Finals. In the end, they still managed to finish in seventh place.

Hardly any other duo in the world epitomizes consistency as much as Kami and Setty. This year, the two Poles have once again earned their place among the best duos in the world with some top performances. Having already finished in the top 10 in Duo Cash Cup Finals four times this year, they were able to punch their ticket to the Global Championship in Texas last Major 2 by finishing third in Grands. As FNCS Invitational winners, they will be a force to be reckoned with at this year's LAN event.

The North American duo of Acorn and Cold made it to second place in our list. Hardly any other duo has delivered so many outstanding performances so consistently throughout the year as Acorn and Cold. A total of four duo Cash Cup finals finished in the top three. Nevertheless, the real highlight of their year was without question their first place in Major 1, which was followed by fifth place in Major 2.

For those who are even slightly familiar with Fortnite Competitive, it will come as no surprise that the duo of Peterbot and Pollo are in first place. In all the years of Fortnite, there has never been a team that has dominated an entire region for an entire season or even almost an entire year like Peterbot and Pollo have done so far. The numbers speak for themselves: 2nd place in Major 1, and 1st place in Major 2 with over 1000 points (new record). In season two, they won all four Duo Cash Cash Cup Finals, setting another record in one when they took the Victory Royale in six out of six rounds.
