Popular streamer HasanAbi has recently made some comments on stream that haven't gone over well with the internet. He's since backpedaled, but the damage is done.
In a recent stream, content creator HasanAbi seems to have picked the wrong words when trying to compare streaming to a regular job, which has caused the entire internet to blow up in his face. He's been called out on social media regarding his opinion on how tough a career in streaming is compared to a regular 9-5.
He has since reflected on his initial statement, but let's go over it all to see what exactly HasanAbi claimed and how the community has reacted to the comments.

On February 24, 2024 HasanAbi made some comments on stream, talking about the difficulties of streaming. He stated that a "real job" can be tough and can be draining, but the fatigue is different from 9-hours of streaming a day.
A real job can be gruesome. A real job can make you very tired, but a real job doesn't suck the soul out of you in the same way that 9-hours of streaming absolutely will.
The clip of HasanAbi saying this has since gone viral on Twitter/X with people chiming in and stating that he has no clue how difficult a "real" job is. Others also commented wondering why Hasan is a streamer then if working a normal job is "so much easier".
This controversy has blown up, prompting Hasan to bring up the topic once more on his stream and releasing a statement, saying that the clip that has made its rounds was taken out of context. He was talking about his social battery rather than how tough a job actually is.
it is wild how this completely out of context clip made its way to twitter so fast. i was talking about how much a 9 hour stream eats away at my social battery & how i cant socialize after, comparing it to my sales job before. i recognize how fortunate i am every day! https://t.co/28nJY8X7mZ pic.twitter.com/3co2udDz8D

It seems though that even this explanation has not halted the hate from pouring in, with his tweet also receiving a lot of backlash from social media users, many saying that streaming isn't as tough of a job as Hasan makes it out to be.
It is understandable that streaming can be draining for one's social battery, and Hasan even said on stream that working in a "people pleasing" profession like retail will be on the same level as streaming. He meant that jobs where people don't interact as much won't drain his social battery as quickly and heavily as streaming... which is valid.
