- Rogue Defeat G2 to End Season in Style
- Amazing Comeback Win for Misfits in LEC Week 7
- LEC Team Ranking for 2022

The LEC had some standout performers - and these six went beyond what we expected.
After several years in the regional leagues with FC Schalke 04 Evolution and Misfits Premier, the German mid laner got his LEC break. While the season started poorly for his SK Gaming, in the second part the organization looked quite capable - even scoring wins against G2, Rogue and Misfits. A lot of this was on Sertuss and SK's gamble on him paid off. | © Riot Games
After losing two of their greatest superstars, including their jungler Kacper "Inspired" Słoma, Rogue gambled on a Korean import - Damwon substitute jungler Malrang. While LCK junglers have been hit and miss in Europe, Their choice was vindicated as Malrang was unstoppable in the first half of the split. Even after several teams found ways to punish his playstyle, he rebounded well. Rogue ends the season first - and Malrang is one of the reasons why. | © Riot Games
The Turkish top laner has bounced around several teams and was previously one of the top players on the doomed FC Schalke 04 Esports squad. G2 brought him over to replace Martin "Wunder" Nordahl Hansen - and he did that to great success. BB was a powerhouse in the top lane, delivering several standout performances and was key to the team's success in their first split after the rebuild.| © Riot Games
After being two years on a Team Vitality that was more often than not stuck to the bottom of the table, Comp had to fill possibly the biggest shoes in the LEC - coming in to replace departing Rogue superstar Steven "Hans sama" Liv off an impressive Worlds performance. However, the Greek marksman stepped up, gelling with his team and being a big part of many of their wins. We did not have high hopes for Rogue's bot lane, but we changed our mind. | © Riot Games
Unlike a lot of the players on this list, Hylissang is a LEC veteran coming off a successful year and a decent Worlds performance - despite having to play with a substitute ADC. So why is he on the list? Because he exceeded our high expectations to give us some standout performances this split. The Bulgarian was reliable in teamfights, died less in his trademark aggressive plays and showed off on picks we did not expect from him, like Zilean or Renata Glasc.| © Riot Games
Vetheo had a good showing in the summer of 2021 where his Misfits Gaming was one of the pleasant surprises, but when the team lost several of their stars in the transfer season, we were not expecting much. Instead, the young Frenchman put the team on his shoulders and carried them hard multiple times, cementing his reputation as a top mid laner in the face of some of the best mids Europe has ever produced. | © Riot Games
