After the success of Netflix’s Addams Family spinoff Wednesday, sexual assault allegations were brought up against one of the main cast members. Multiple women on Twitter are accusing actor Percy Hynes White. As a consequence, Xavier has been written out of Wednesday Season 2.
Percy Hynes White, who played Xavier Thorpe in the popular Netflix show Wednesday, has been accused of sexual assault by multiple women, with fans calling for his removal from the series.
According to Daily Mail, an industry insider came forward to share that Percy Hynes White wouldn't be a part of season 2 of Wednesday and that his character Xavier has been written out. Apparently, a source close to his family confirmed the news.
Netflix has not spoken about the issue yet.
Why Has Percy Hynes White Been Dropped From Wednesday?
The accusations started back in January 2023 on Twitter when user @milkievich shared a thread, detailing White's behavior of “manipulating girls” as well as images White allegedly sent to minors. The thread also contains a video of him using a racial slur in what looks to be part of a performance. The account has since been deleted.
It hurts to see this man in the public eye and admired by hundreds of thousands of young girls. He let me get raped in his basement, and when he called me about it he was most worried about the police and not if I was okay. Then he continued to let a rapist live at his mothers.

After this went public, multiple more women have come forward telling their stories regarding White's predatory behavior, asking for him to be removed from the Wednesday series.
Wednesday Star Percy Hynes White Accused Of Sexual Assault
The same user that shared the Twitter thread shared screenshots of messages she’d sent, detailing several allegations against White.
In those Tweets, she accused him and his friends of predatory behavior, trying to manipulate girls into sexual acts. She also claimed that he already has rape allegations against him.
Many other women have come forward, telling similar stories about how White and his friends would allegedly throw parties “to explicitly invite women they thought were hot, so they could get them drunk and high enough to have sex with them.”
The Twitter thread also contains images that appear to show White nude, as well as a lot of replies from women sharing their own allegations of assault against him, including sleeping with a minor.
Many of these Tweets, as well as some accounts, have since been deleted, which means that the videos are no longer accessible.
White then released a statement addressing the allegations, calling them “baseless” and criticizing people for harassing his family and friends.
“Earlier this year, somebody I’ve never met started a campaign of misinformation about me online. Because of this, my family has been doxxed, and my friends have received death threats”.
He then continues to detail how “underage photos of [him] acting in character”, as well as false claims regarding one of his friends, were used to misrepresent him “as someone bigoted, or criminally negligent of people's safety”.
It is unclear whether this statement is correct, or if the allegations are in fact true. Time will hopefully tell.
