It's finally time! 'Inside Out 2' is in the starting blocks and will be released in June. We will tell you everything you need to know about the next Pixar masterpiece, including the exact release date, a trailer to hype you up, the cast we can expect and a prediction for the next series of emotions. So, let's get right into it!
After almost 10 years, 'Inside Out ' receives its well deserved second part! Since the release of 'ToyStory 3 ', the Pixar movie 'Inside Out' was definitely one of the most successful productions that the Californian animation studio has ever produced.
So personally, I'm almost certain that its successor will be just as much of a masterpiece as the first part. But before I start babbling too much, let's dive right into the trailer!
Inside Out 2 | Trailer And Release Date
The official trailer for 'Inside Out 2' was making huge waves. It just smashed Disney's record for the most views in 24 hours, hitting a whopping 157 million views! That's even more than 'Frozen II ' got.
And "by telling a story where we could see our emotions – those little voices inside your head – there would be so much more to explore than we could possibly fit into one film” Pete Docter, chief creative officer of Pixar, quoted.
Looks like people are pretty excited about what's going on inside those emotions! Its official release date is set for June 14, 2024, exclusively for theaters.

With Riley, the main protagonist of the movie, getting older, she also got some new emotions up her sleeves that will make their debut in the second movie.
One emotion which is confirmed to be in 'Inside Out 2' is going to be 'Anxiety.' Well, that's what I call a fitting emotion for a person growing up and getting hit in their face by life itself. Maya Hawke is going to dub the voice for the newest addition of emotions.
In case you live under a rock, Maya Hawke is not only a dubber, but also an actress, playing Robin Buckley in the Netflix Originals Series 'Stranger Things .'
What Are The Other Emotions?
While other emotions besides Anxiety didn't get confirmed yet, the official Inside Out 2 poster has shown us a small glimpse of some other little guys that will join her.
Let's start from the left in the poster, what kind of emotion these little fellas could represent. The first teal-colored emotion will probably be 'Embarassment' with those sparkly eyes and a shy look on its face. And since being a teenager also means being confronted with tons of embarrassing moments, it would totally make sense.
Next in line, we got 'Envy' with a pink color. Envy is a common emotion, hitting when we feel jealous or resentful. Kids may not feel it early on, but as life gets more competitive, especially in school or sports, envy creeps in. Paired with Embarrassment and Anxiety, Riley faces internal struggles while making friends and navigating social situations.
Last but not least, we got 'Ennui' as a navy-colored character. Ennui embodies boredom and indifference, common for teenagers juggling responsibilities. The character's expression on the poster reflects this feeling, and its impact on Riley, alongside more passionate emotions, remains to be seen. Dealing with a moody teenager facing boredom is no small challenge.
However, these are just predictions, after all (even if they seem pretty on point for a young teenager getting older). Tell us in the comments below if you agree or disagree with my forecast.
