Who would have thought that Cyberpunk would have such a resurgence after the horrible start. Well, now it seems like the series is getting picked up by Netflix and turned into an animated show.
The world of Cyberpunk 2077 is about to be expanded further. Upon release, the game was a total shit show, but it's turned into a great game after quite a few updates and fixes. Fans have praised the game, and now they're going to get even more of this universe thanks to Netflix picking up the game and helping make it a series.
Can we expect the same level of love and care as Arcane got? No guys, that took 6 years, but this is also looking to be quite a promising show in the making and the Cyberpunk world is perfect for story telling as well. So, what do we know about the show?
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Announced
Fans had found out that Cyberpunk: Edgerunners was in the works, bringing the Cyberpunk world from the games to life. But, who is bringing this show to life? Well, none other than Kill la Kill animation studio Trigger. Seems perfect, doesn't it?
But guys, that's not all we know about the show. Of course, the fact that more will be revealed during Netflix Geeked in June is also huge. So, on June 8, 2022 even more information regarding this upcoming anime is going to be announced.
With the announcement of the participation at Netflix Geeked Week, we also get a few still shots of the show and they might not be much, but they are enough to get us excited for this upcoming show.

What Will Cyberpunk Edgerunners Be About?
The show is going to be a stand-alone from the games, so you won't have had to play to understand it. The show will revolve around a street kid living in a Cuberpunk future. To survive, he'll have to become a mercenary outlaw known as an Edgerunner.
Sounds pretty cool, right? Well, the show is also being directed by Huriyuki Imaishi who also worked on Kill la Kill and Promare, so we have some high expectations for this show to have epic fight scenes and more. Let's hope the 10 episodes are as good as they seem already.
