So you've been wondering what the heck is going on between xQc & Adept? Here's the drama explained, including the stolen McLaren, the divorce and more.
If you thought only Netflix & Co. had crazy relationship drama, you're wrong. xQc and Adept simply keep providing fans with the most insane drama, including a stolen McLaren, a divorce without a marriage and even sexual assault allegations. Here's the xQc & Adept drama explained.
Félix “xQc” Lengyel and Samantha “Adept” Lopez, are popular streamers on platforms like Twitch. Both have amassed significant followings and used to play games together or collaborate on various streaming activities.
In the beginning, the two of them were “just roommates”, although their friendly and sometimes playful banter made it pretty obvious that there was more going on between the two than they let on.

After a while, they revealed that they were in fact in a relationship and for a while it looked like they were happy together. This lasted for quite a while, until their split back in 2021. What followed was one of the nastiest break-ups in social media history and if you're curious what happened, here's the xQC & Adept drama explained and yes, she apparently stole his McLaren and is filing for a divorce.
xQc And Adept's Break-Up | In Depth Recap
A “messy break-up” doesn't even come close to describing the situation between xQc and his ex-girlfriend, Adeptthebest.
The reason for their split was apparently related to Felix having to pick between his family and his girlfriend, leading to the current situation.
What followed was an intensive break-up, including them having a heated argument live on stream and her allegedly keeping his $300K McLaren.
It looks like the car was registered under Adept's name, even though he was the one that paid for it.
Oh, and there was also the thing about Adept accusing xQc of cheating on her with his now ex-girlfriend NYXXII and kind of accusing her of being the reason they separated as well.
Now things escalated to a whole new level, as Adept is apparently trying to abuse the Texas laws around “Common Law Marriage” to take 50% of Felix's belongings through a “divorce”.
Earlier this year, leaked divorce filings revealed that the two of them have allegedly been married between August 2020 and October 2022, despite xQc claiming that he is not, and never was, married.
The rumors started when she crashed his stream on January 7, accusing him of “violating a court order” and have been gaining more and more traction as more documents were dug up online. These also made certain conditions public, barring the Canadian streamer from speaking about the divorce on any of his social networks.
xQc cut the stream short, but addressed the situation during his last stream as well as some speculation surrounding a divorce document accessible through the Williamson County, Texas Court Record.
He went a step further, saying that “everyone who has watched the stream for like six years knows my exact mindset about this. Everybody knows my word-for-word, things I’ve been saying for years that I would probably never get married for the rest of my life.”
The problem is that Adept also filed a restraining order, barring the Canadian streamer from openly speaking about the divorce on any of his social networks. The exact wording is that xQc isn't allowed to take “any steps to stalk, harass, threaten, or otherwise intimidate Petitioner", which includes his presence online.
The thing people are pointing out, though, is that Texas allows Common Law Marriage, meaning that two people don't actually have to get married to be considered as a married couple, as long as:
- The couple agrees to be married
- The couple agrees to live together
- The couple represents that they are a married couple to others (telling others they're married or signing legally binding documents together, indicating that they're married)
- 18 years or older (an exception can be made for younger couples if they have consent of the parents)
- Not related to each other
- Are not involved in a marriage to anyone else
In xQc's case, pretty much all of these apply, if you consider the McLaren being registered in her name as a legally binding document they signed together. Maybe him agreeing to be married and expressing this to others didn't happen, we just don't know.
X made his stance on marriage pretty clear, as can be seen above, so even if Adept was trying to “divorce” him under Common Law Marriage regulations, he should be able to deny them being “married”.
Adept Makes Fun Of xQc For Leaked DMs With H3H3
Ever since this initial, shocking reveal, there hasn't been a lot of public drama between the two. But that changed recently when Adept decided to take a shot at her ex-boyfriend's behavior over the H3H3 stuff.
After xQc was featured on the H3H3 podcast to discuss streamers uploading reaction videos to YouTube, the host of the podcast Ethan Klein leaked some DMs xQc sent him afterward. Those messages didn't help xQc's case, and Adept used this chance to make her best xQc impression to make fun of her ex-boyfriend.
In this clip, Adept is referring to the last message, X sent to Ethan, stating how he “got [his] whole house on his wrist”. This kind of pathetic flex was the perfect opportunity for Adept to ridicule xQc, but she didn't exactly help her case either, as people are now making fun of her as well.
In the comments of a Reddit post of this clip, people are calling her behavior a “manic episode”, stating that she “went live just to do this”, because “she definitely lost the court case lol, or knows she is”.
So, despite xQc kind of making a fool of himself, people are calling this “the most unhinged self-destructive stream [they've] ever seen”.
It seems like people online are not on her side when it comes to the divorce. Some people are even claiming that the trial might already be over and that she lost the case.
xQc Claims Adept Tried To Use McLaren For Manipulative Tactics
The McLaren has been a hot topic ever since the relationship drama between xQc and Adept started. Fans were pretty upset that X's ex-girlfriend simply decided to keep the car that he bought for $300K.
During a stream on August 20, xQc revealed that Adept apparently used her being in possession of the car to “possibly reel [him] back in to talk about”.
He revealed this, after a fan asked him what happened with the car, to which he provided an explanation. Apparently Adept told him “you do own it, I’m dropping it off. The papers, the title, keys, and everything”, but never really followed up on these promises.
xQc therefore assumes that this was to manipulate and control him, always being able to come back to that topic to strike up a conversation.
It’s almost like it was used in manipulative tactics and control tactics for not one month, not two, sh*t, maybe for 14, maybe for 18, 20 months perhaps. It’s almost like it was a point of conversation, and point of discussion, that could possibly reel me back in to talk about, and was promised to me at all times, which didn’t do anything, and that f*cking sucks.
Seems like the McLaren will stay a hot topic until the trial is over and the possession of the expensive car is resolved once and for all.
Adept Accused xQc Of Sexual Assault
It seems like Adept won't stop at trying to steal money from xQc and goes a step further, taking shots at his reputation by accusing him of sexual assault.
This was previously brought up by xQc's ex-girlfriend Fran, who talked about it during her stream addressing the situation with her former boyfriend. Fran explained how Adept apparently tried to use a situation where xQc grapped Fran's butt during sleep to raise SA allegations against him.
Fran quickly debunked those claims, and it looks like the judges agree. The investigator turned Twitch streamer HenryResilient, who has been covering the Adept vs. xQc drama, got a hold of some legal documents that show that the criminal investigation into the matter has been closed.
What this means is, that the investigation has not found enough evidence to back up the sexual assault allegations raised against the popular streamer.
xQc himself also denies the allegations, stating that he was never abusive in any of his relationships.
Adept Accuses xQc Of Paying Twitch Mods For Sex
Things just never quiet down between xQc and Adept. Now, Adept accused her former boyfriend of paying his head moderator on Twitch for sexual activities.
At the end of September, Adept posted a series of screenshots in her Instagram story showing a Discord conversation that she claims took place between xQc and his head moderator on Twitch.

While Adept didn't mention any names, and the screenshots had that info covered up, it is pretty evident that her accusations are targeted at her ex, with the way she addresses the xQc and H3H3 drama with the “WRIST. HOUSE” comment.
With how all the necessary information in those screenshots has been covered up, there is no way of verifying whether this was an actual conversation between xQc and his head mod.
The only response that xQc provided to these accusations was him calling out Adept's unhinged behavior, stating, "Imagine ruining your life over ego. Millions of options and continuously choosing the worst ones".
With how regularly new drama unfolds between the two, we'll make sure to update this article regularly, as especially once the trial is concluded there is bound to be more drama...
