A Norwegian Twitch streamer had a teenager pull a knife on him, while he was doing an IRL broadcast.
Who knew streaming on Twitch could turn out so dangerous? The Norwegian IRL streamer Mystixx had a 15-year-old boy pull a knife on him during his Twitch stream, after he allegedly denied him money.
IRL streams are notoriously risky for content creators. Not because of the danger of some stranger pulling up with a knife, threatening you, but due to their unpredictable nature. As a streamer, you just never know whether a situation that could get you banned may occur outside your control.
There is the looming danger of physical violence as well, though, as this isn't the first time an IRL streamer got threatened like this. One particular streamer on Kick was even beat up live on stream.
Live on Twitch: IRL Streamer Gets Threatened With Knife
The incident happened on September 28, when the Twitch streamer Mystixx was doing an IRL stream walking around the streets of Kongsberg in Norway, when he was approached by a boy in a red tracksuit asking him for money.
According to some of Mystixx's viewers, the streamer responded by telling the kid that he should sell his tracksuit if he needed money, which prompted the teenager to escalate the situation and threaten the streamer with a knife.
The other teenagers apparently tried to calm down the boy in the red tracksuit, and later clips reveal that they eventually resolved the situation with words.
Still, it seems like later on the police got involved and handled things from there. There might not be any consequences for the knife wielding youth, though as reports state, the boy is under the age of 15.
If that's true, he is under the minimum age at which people may be charged for a criminal offense in Norway and therefore might not suffer any consequences for his actions.
