Call of Duty is bringing Warzone to mobile, and they're so far along in the project that we're beginning to get the first details about the alpha and beta playtesting events. Here's an overview of everything you need to sign up and try Warzone Mobile.
We've known about Warzone on mobile for a long time. It was obvious they were going to make this game after the success of Call of Duty Mobile. But now it's here... or rather, almost here. The full game isn't out yet but the playtesting has begun. If you want to sign up and try Warzone Mobile, then you can find all the information you need beneath.
Warzone Mobile Alpha Test
When Is The Warzone Mobile Alpha?
The Warzone Mobile alpha began in early June 2022, but it was a closed test, and all participants were specifically chosen by Call of Duty. The test is ongoing though, so there's still time to sign up as a playtester, and potentially you will still be chosen to join.
If you are lucky enough to get into the alpha, let us know what you see. So far, we've only been able to confirm that Verdansk is the map that Warzone Mobile plays on, but we're hungry for more details.
How Can You Join The Warzone Mobile Alpha?
To join the alpha of Warzone Mobile, or Project Aurora (as they're officially calling it), you need to sign up to be a playtester with Call of Duty. To do this, all you need to do is leave them with your details here. But you should know, Activision heavily favor playtesters from Southern California, as they can invite these candidates to meet in-person as well as remotely. Good luck on being chosen!
Warzone Mobile Beta Test
When Is The Warzone Mobile Beta?
The Warzone Mobile Beta is probably going to be released in the late summer, around the same time that the Modern Warfare 2 alpha and beta playtesting begins. We don't have an official date yet because they're keeping this project fairly secret for now, but we would be surprised if the beta was delayed to later in the year. Remember of course, these guys are directly competing with Apex Legends Mobile, so they can't afford to keep fans waiting.
How Can You Join The Warzone Mobile Beta?
The Warzone Mobile beta will be publicly accessible to all, provided that you've pre-registered in time. Call of Duty have always been pretty good at allowing the public to try their games without a down payment. Instead, they usually offer players the chance to enter the beta a few days early if they buy a certain pack or pre-order the full game. But everyone gets at least a few days to try for free, and mobile will be no different.
The pre-registration portal isn't live yet, so we can't show you how to sign up, but as soon as it's possible to do so, we'll update you. We expect more details soon regarding this aspect of the Warzone Mobile playtesting.
What Are The Technical Specifications For Warzone Mobile?
These are the technical specifications for the playtesting of Warzone Mobile. They may seem steep, but for playtesting you're usually required to meet the recommended specs rather than simply the minimum required. The full game will be open to less powerful devices.
