UMP45 Modern Warfare 2

1. UMP45 – The UMP45 was broken on release. It was broken throughout the game's lifecycle. And it will probably still be broken eleven years later in the Modern Warfare 2 Remaster. This was a sub-machine gun that could 3-shot kill someone at all ranges, yes, really. It could outclass assault rifles in mid-range. It was unstoppable in short-range, where it took only 2-shots to the head to kill. And, for some reason, Infinity Ward gave it the bullet penetration of an LMG, but why not at that point? SPAS 12 Modern Warfare 2

2. SPAS-12 – The SPAS-12 was nerfed a few times in the original Modern Warfare 2, and for good reason, but it remained an absolutely top-tier weapon choice for its outstanding range. In an era when shotguns could still be taken as secondary weapons, the SPAS-12 was particularly problematic. It came with all the benefits of a shotgun, without being offset by a pathetic range. ACR Modern Warfare 2

3. ACR – If you're looking for a weapon to jump into Modern Warfare 2 with later this year, and are a bit rusty eleven years after the original was released, then look no further than the ACR. This assault rifle was an excellent gun for players of all skill-level; it might not have had the most incredible damage per shot, but the recoil was virtually non-existent. 4. M16 – The M16 required a little more skill than the fully automatic assault rifles, as it fired in three-round bursts. But, for up to 42 meters away, one burst of three shots was all you needed for the kill, and the weapons excellent handling meant all three shots were likely to connect. 5. Intervention – It had to make the list, right? The Intervention is perhaps the single most iconic weapon from the era of '360 no-scopes'. As an ordinary sniper, the Intervention is actually outclassed in its stat lines by the Barett, but the Intervention – so the legend goes – had a greater hit detection, making it perfect for quick-scopes.
