5. Operation Metro (BF4): A classic. And this is easily Battlefield's best ever attempt at making a close-range, intense fighting, map. You can't hide in the skies, you can't go on a crazy 5-mile flanking hike. You've got to grab a shotgun and push the tunnels. | © EA
4. Twisted Steel (BFV): This map is everything a Battlefield map should be. It's beautiful, it's huge, and it offers variety. But most importantly, it gives you a sense of fighting as a team, and trying to take a strategically important area. The bridges offer a fantastic focal point, and can be destroyed in typical "only in Battlefield" style. | © EA
3. Amiens (BF1): Most Battlefield Urban maps are defined by skyscrapers and wide roads, but Amiens gives us something completely different with narrow alleyways and rubble congested buildings. It was so intense, and so atmospheric, and it would be amazing to see in Portal. | © EA
2. Sinai Desert (BF1): This is the iconic BF1 map, and BF1 is the game that most people want to see in Portal. Sinai, with its horses and trains, would feel it took advantage of everything Portal was meant for. And it would be so damn cool to see a modern Marine with an M4 explore it all. | © EA
1. Siege of Shanghai (BF4): Wow. If there's ever going to be a "best Battlefield map of all time" vote, then Shanghai will win. This was the map that, more than any other, showed us the scale and beauty of the Battlefield franchise. And with 128 player lobbies then (if dare we even suggest) it might be better in Portal than the OG... | © EA
Battlefield 2042's Portal mode is easily the best part of the game right now; we all know how many issues there are with All-Out-Warfare, and let's not even mention Hazard Zone. With this in mind, we can confidently assume that seasonal content is coming for Portal. And this almost certainly means new maps. But what maps do we most want to see in 2022? Here's our wishlist!
