Meet G2 Gozen, a new professional all-woman team in the Valorant scene. Let's take a closer look and see what's their potential!
We are 3 weeks out from the VCT Game Changers tournament, and we already have another huge organization that has decided to invest in 5 top-notch female Valorant players — and this time, it's G2 Esports. But was it that unexpected? We wouldn't say so! At this point, it seems that the female team could be one of the standard organizations on the Valorant esports scene. We recently wrote about Complexity forming an interesting female Valorant roster for the VCT Game Changers tournament, and so far, organizations such as Cloud9, TSM, and Dignitas have already created such rosters as well. However, will the VCT Game Changers actually be the only initiative for all-women teams? Carlos "Ocelote" Rodriguez (G2 Esports owner) believes that we may also see them in the most significant leagues.
G2 Esports Female Valorant Team
G2 Gozen, as that is the official name of the G2 Female Valorant Team, is a mix of 5 talented female players you may know from the Counter-Strike scene. The girls have known each other for years and have played in various esports teams to win major tournaments such as Dreamhack and Copenhagen Games. That being said, this squad is one of the most secure investments G2 Esports could have made in their search for a female Valorant team. They previously played as "The Originals" in EMEA VCT Game Changers tournaments, with some pretty good results.Look into their socials to meet them a little better:
- Anja "aNNja" Vasalic
- Petra „Petra” Stoker
- Michaela „Mimi” Lintrup
- Zainab „zAAz” Turkie
- Julia „juliano” Kiran

What's the Future for Female Valorant Teams?
As we've mentioned before, more and more esports organizations are investing in female Valorant rosters, but is it really all about VCT Game Changers? Or maybe there are some hopes to send them for the Masters circuit tournaments? Let's see what G2 Esports owner, Ocelote, has to say on the subject:
To me they aren't a female team, they are our VALORANT team. At G2, we build teams and bring in players based on skill and brand fit. These are amongst the best female players in the world and we’re proud to have them. We’ll support them all the way, as we support all our teams, and look forward to seeing them grow and kick some ass as part of the G2 army.
So, who knows? Now they have no chance of getting on Champions, but maybe 2022 will be the season of female Valorant teams rocking on the official tournament scene? Well, it's becoming more and more possible every month.
