Mastering the offensive strategies in Madden NFL 24 can be a formidable challenge, particularly without the right playbook and formations at your disposal. This piece aims to offer you advice on the best playbooks to utilize and unveil the nearly invincible plays that will elevate your gameplay to the next level.
Attaining substantial success in Madden NFL 24 heavily relies on your skills as an offensive playcaller, as mastering offense is a formidable challenge. Defensive players quickly decipher plays, leaving minimal room to navigate through narrow openings.
Furthermore, your offensive line frequently contends with the supremacy of the opposing defensive line, constraining your running game to minimal gains and creating immediate pressure during passing plays.
Nevertheless, you can withstand this defensive pressure by utilizing the right playbooks and playcalls. Certain formations can gain you significant yards from the start, until the opponent adapts to your new offensive strategy. Here, we present our preferred playbooks and playcalls to help you thrive in the game.
Madden NFL 24: The Best Offensive Playbooks
We recommend you find a 32 player online franchise and go on the Super Bowl hunt there. Sure, it's fun to play against the AI, but a "real" opponent is much more fun. And at this point it should also be said that the tips listed here do not automatically mean that you will win every game. You're still the one holding the controller in your hand.
The best offensive playbooks are of course also related to the best formations and the plays they contain. The "perfect" playbook with flawless formations and plays does not exist - at least not in the franchise mode.
And we should also, everyone plays differently, and they might need different playbooks than those suggested here. Just try it out and see if it works for you.
Madden NFL 24 has not yet been officially released, but we have already seen gameplay clips. EA patched some glitch plays that were just unfair in the last Madden.
The plays in this article are based on the best plays from Madden NFL 23, but we expect these plays to work just as well because they are just really good against any coverage.
Best Offensive Playbooks: Chiefs, Lions, Saints
The best playbooks in Madden NFL 24 are those of the Chiefs, Patriots, Lions and Saints. Good playbooks come from good, creative offenses, at least in theory.
Madden NFL 24 New England Patriots Playbook
The Patriots playbook boasts significant advantages, mainly its numerous run-heavy formations that allow you to establish a formidable ground game and set the stage for explosive plays with play-action maneuvers. Key examples include formations like Weak I and Strong I.
Additionally, the Shotgun Trips TE and Trips TE Flex formations provide versatile route options to exploit any defensive coverage. To make the most of this playbook, it's essential to have two skilled tight ends who excel at both blocking and receiving with agility.
Madden NFL 24 New Orleans Saints Playbook
One of the best plays in Madden NFL 24 is Bench, a play that skilled opponents will frequently employ against you throughout the game. It originates from the Shotgun Tight Offset TE formation and is a highlight in the Saints playbook.
The Saints playbook stands out for good reasons – it features top-tier run plays like 01 Trap and HB Quick Base.
However, one minor drawback is the absence of Taysom Hill formations seen in the Madden NFL 22, which were notably formidable QB Power Run Plays.
Madden NFL 24 Spread And Run N Gun Playbook
In addition to team playbooks, there are alternative offensive playbooks with specific themes, such as Spread (excluding plays where the QB lines up under center, except for goal-line plays) and Run Heavy (limited to only six shotgun formations).
Run N Gun revolves significantly around RPO (Run-Pass Option) and offers an enjoyable experience. It stands out as the exclusive playbook featuring the Wildcat Trips Over formation – a must-try for players.
Spread is the playbook with the most trap run play calls, such as 01 Trap or 56 Trap. These run plays are the best in Madden, in our opinion, because the pulling guard often blocks perfectly.
Spread, however, is largely based on passing plays with 4 or 5 wide receivers on the field, so if you want to throw the ball all the time, give this playbook a try.
