Team Queso and Team BDS have both come out victorious in the European Premier Cup, launching them into the RLCS 2021-22 Winter Split Majors.
Both Team BDS (not to be mistaken with BDSM) and Team Queso will be heading to Los Angeles for the RLCS 2021-22 Winter Split Majors in March, after a remarkable series of games catapulted them to the top of the European Leaderboards. Unsurprising for the team that took home the RLCS 2021-22 Fall Split Majors back in December, Team BDS took home the European Premier Cup with an impressive 4:0 win against Team Queso.
The win is the first regional win for Team BDS in RLCS 2021-22, solidifying them in second place with a total of 611 Circuit Points in the 2022 Winter Split. Likewise, Team Queso didn't do too poorly either, with a first place result of 651 Circuit Points. These results mean that Team Queso and Team BDS are currently the only two European Teams to be flying to LA when the Winter Split Majors begin in March.
Team Queso qualified for the RLCS 2021-22 Winter Split Majors after an impressive victory against Misfits in the Lower Semifinals. This means that Joe "Joyo" Young, Finlay "rise." Ferguson and Alex "Vatira" Touret will all need to book their US Visas and some flights to Los Angeles (just, avoid Delta Airlines guys). Both Team BDS and Team Queso qualified for the Winter Split Majors by reaching the required number of Circuit Points.
The Winter Split Majors were officially revealed back at the end of January in a short clip on Twitter that announced the first crowd-attended RLCS Event since before the pandemic. The event will be split into two different sections, the second of which will feature a live crowd. Rocket League Esports, Psyonix, and YouTube Theater have all confirmed that attendees will be required to have been double vaccinated and tested before arriving at the event.

Now that Team BDS and Team Queso are both going to the Winter Split Majors it will be interesting to see how the leaderboards change over the coming weeks and months. As you can tell, whilst Team Queso is doing exceptionally well in the Winter Split, they are somewhat hampered by poor results in the Fall Split. It will be interesting to see whether they'll keep up their ongoing winning streak and make it to the Championships later in 2022.
In the meantime, though, we've got to expect that Team BDS will continue to dominate the leaderboards and may well be taking home a few more awards – if not the entire Rocket League Championship Series Season. Seeing as several of their players, such as M0nkey M00n and Extra have been EarlyGame's Rocket League Player of the Months previously, we won't be surprised if they shoot even further into the stratosphere.
