The popular car football game Rocket League is booming. At the latest since the switch to the free-to-play model, the multiplayer title has enjoyed incredible popularity. Now developer Psyonix has unveiled the contents of Rocket League Season 2, which will be launched shortly.
Rocket League is unstoppable. For five years now, the mix of football and racing has been one of the most popular multiplayer games ever and marks one of the best racing games in recent years for us too. On December 9, Rocket League Season 2 will start, which is all about the Grammy-nominated EDM artist Kaskade and offers a lot of new content.
Rocket League Season 2: What Can You Expect
Since Rocket League enables crossplay and comes along in the free-to-play model without any costs, the sports game is booming. The first season of the new era was a complete success, but for Rocket League Season 2 the developers have come up with something very special.
Season 2 is all about the EDM artist Kaskade and comes up with a lot of new game content.
New Rocket Pass
70 levels await you in the new Rocket League Season 2 Rocket Pass, which revolves around the music theme. Some of them pulsate to the beat of the menu and arena music or glow colorfully.
Besides the free version, the Premium Rocket Pass exclusively features the new R3MX car and other unique content. The car is a sports car inspired by the Cyberpunk theme - fitting the Cyberpunk 2077 release on December 10. In the final level, you can even expect the tuned version called R3MX GXT. All contents of the Rocket Pass can be found on the game's homepage.
New Arena: Neon Fields
To score 2 goals in true Rocket League Season style, a new arena called Neon Fields awaits you, which shines in bright neon colors in the style of the new season and fits the music theme. The 80s vibes are all around. Neon Fields is playable in online playlists and private matches.
Player Anthems
Season 2 also has a new customization object for you: the player anthems. Here you can select Rocket League music and play it after a goal in the arena. More details will be released by the developers in the coming days.
New Music
Rocket League Season 2 also features a brand-new soundtrack by EDM artist Kaskade. The first song "Flip Reset" with WILL K is now available in the game and can be heard in the Season 2 trailer. More songs and content from the DJ will be released in the course of the season.
But wait, that's not all. In Season 2 there are new competitive rewards, challenges, quality of life improvements and changes in the game's esports store. More information about the changes in the esports store will be available early next week.
Rocket League Season 2 starts on December 9 on all platforms. The extensive pre-season update of the game will be available for download on December 8, at 01:00 CET so you can start the next day on time. You can find all information on the official homepage.
