In order to play multiplayer in Rocket League, you need to have accepted the license agreement. Sounds simple, but sometimes it's just buggy and people have problems with it. We'll show you how to fix it!
We all love Rocket League, that's for sure. But playing alone is a lot less fun than playing with your friends. What could be better than flexing your rank in front of your mates? That's right, nothing.
However, in order to be able to play multiplayer in Rocket League, you must first accept the license agreement. Usually, this is quite easy, a pop-up message appears as soon as you start the game for the first time. However, as we all know, Rocket League is full of bugs... and there are problems here, too, of course.
That's why today, we're going to show a solution on how to accept the license agreements in Rocket League!
How To Accept License Agreement In Rocket League
No matter if PC, Xbox, or PlayStation: In order to compete in multiplayer, you have to accept the license agreement first. However, sometimes the error message “did not accept the license agreement” appears when you want to play Ranked together with a friend – even though both of you have accepted the agreement. What to do, then?
Fortunately, there are two different ways to work around this bug. Both of them work for any platform, and now we'll show you how to accept the license agreements in Rocket League!
Step By Step – How To Accept License Agreement
- Open Rocket League and click on “Extras” in the main menu
- Scroll down until you find the entry “Legal Agreements”
- Choose EULA or Terms of Service to accept the agreement once again
- It's better to restart the game here. Afterwards, it should work just fine!
As I said, these simple steps will work in most cases, but Rocket League is still Rocket League and so anything is possible. If you have followed these 4 steps to success, but still can't play multiplayer with your mate, then reinstalling the game is probably the only solution you'll have left.
Once you have deleted Rocket League from your hard drive and reinstalled it, you should see the license agreement message popping up when you start the game for the first time. Then you can accept it as it's intended to and start playing right away! Have fun and always remember those tasty Ranked Rewards!
