HBO has renewed Industry and season 3 is nearly here. This summer, the British finance drama will continue and we've got all the info you need to hype yourself up!
Industry: Succession's and Euphoria's illegitimate child on HBO is getting its third season, heading for a summer release.
Industry follows the stories of young, ambitious graduates, trying to fight their way through the merciless world of investment banking at Pierpoint & Co. in London. And if the high-stakes deals weren't stressful enough, their personal lives are often no walk in the park, either.
Industry Season 3: Release Date
HBO finally came forward to announce the release date for Industry's third season: August 11, 2024! We may still wait for a trailer, but we've got the official synopsis for you:
As Pierpoint looks to the future and takes a big bet on ethical investing, Yasmin, Robert, and Eric find themselves front and center in the splashy IPO of Lumi, a green tech energy company led by Sir Henry Muck, in a story that runs all the way to the very top of finance, media, and government. Since leaving Pierpoint, Harper is eager to get back into the addictive thrill of finance and finds an unlikely partner in FutureDawn portfolio manager Petra Koenig.
Sir Henry Muck, you may ask? Petra Koenig? Well, there is a fair share of new faces to get excited for in the upcoming season!
Industry Season 3 | Kit Harrington Joins The Cast
The cast of Industry has always been the heart of the show – not only do they get to work with well-thought-out characters, the cast also brings them to life like no other. No recasts have been announced, so we're positive we'll get to enjoy those performances again!
- Myha'la Herrold as Harper Stern
- David Jonsson as Gus Sackey
- Marisa Abela as Yasmin Kara-Hanani
- Harry Lawtey as Robert Spearing
- Sagar Radia as Rishi Ramdani
- Ken Leung as Eric Tao
- Conor MacNeill as Kenny Kilbane
Some recurring characters might make their return as well, like Nicholas Bishop as Maxim Alonso or Jay Duplass as Jesse Bloom. What's for sure though is that Kit Harrington returns to HBO: he'll join the Industry cast as Henry Muck, the CEO of green tech energy company Lumi.
But not only Harrington joins the ruthless investment banking world, Sarah Goldberg joins him as Petra Koenig, the Portfolio Manager of FutureDawn. New cast members also include Andrew Havill, Fady Elsayed, Fiona Button and Miriam Petche.
What's In Store For Industry Season 3?
Slight spoiler warning for season 2, everyone!
After the second season, we're probably in for some changes. Pierpoint isn't the main focus for Yasmin and Harper anymore and Yasmin has some processing to do, anyway – poor girl. And I'm hoping for Harper to never hear from her dubious insider trading mishap again, but she might not be out of the woods just yet.
On the other hand, Pierpoint is going the green route now, investing in sustainability and green energy with Lumi – Kit Harrington's company.
How all of that'll turn out remains to be seen, but we thankfully don't have to wait that long, anyway: August 11 is the day!
