In a recent interview, Boba Fett actor Temuera Morrison stated that he will not return as the titular character in the upcoming The Mandalorian and Grogu.
Star Wars has been a difficult topic for many fans ever since the release of the last feature film, The Rise of Skywalker. Since then, there have only been TV-Shows coming out on Disney+ that had varying quality, to say the least.
The new movie that will hit theaters in May 2026, is The Mandalorian and Grogu. Sadly, we won't see Temuera Morrison return as Boba Fett in the new film.
What Happened To Boba Fett?
After his new debut in The Mandalorian Season 2, fans were overjoyed about seeing the legendary bounty hunter Boba Fett.
The hype didn't last, though, since the spin-off show, The Book of Boba Fett, received mixed reviews from fans and critics alike.
The story left the character in a place, where it is unlikely to see a continuation.
Now, at FanExpo Chicago, Temuera Morrison confirmed that he won't be returning as Boba Fett in The Mandalorian and Grogu. He also stated that he is unclear, whether he will return to the character at all.
I'm still waiting for a phone call to be quite honest. I think we're just put on the shelf for a little bit. Maybe we come off the shelf later.
We'll have to wait and see, what the future holds for the bounty hunter.
What do you think? Would you like to see Boba Fett return on the big screen?
