Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle will not be a final season. Instead, we're going to be getting three movies to finish off Tanjiro's saga.
The saga of Tanjiro is ending. With the conclusion of the Hashira Training Arc, there is only one big final battle left for the Demon Slayers, and it seems that instead of turning the final battle into a long season, fans can instead expect movies.
Similar to what Production I.G has done with Haikyu!!, Demon Slayer will also have it's big finale turned into movies. Crunchyroll has just revealed that they've got the rights to the Infinity Castle arc and will debut a trilogy of films internationally.
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Arc As Movies
Demon Slayer is coming to an end. Throughout the last few years, it's become one of the most popular and famous anime, with a large mainstream following as well. The characters are likeable, the plot is interesting, and the animation is some of the best from the last decade. What's not to love, right?
Demon Slayer's Mugen Train movie from 2021 was also one of the highest grossing anime films in recent time. So it makes sense that the final arc of the Demon Slayer manga will be turned into movies, rather than a regular season. This way, even more profit can be squeezed out thanks to theater goers.
Since the Infinity Castle arc is huge, spanning 44 chapters, Ufotable will be making 3 films that are going to be distributed worldwide by Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment. There have been no release dates yet, but the most recent season just concluded, so it'll still be at least another year and half or even longer until we can expect the movies.
