Bridgerton has been the top dog on Netflix since the third season started to air, but it has since been dethroned by a miniseries.
Bridgerton's third season kicked off with a bang. On everyone's trending list, this was the show to watch. The third season kicked off in May 2024 and took the streaming service by storm. But now, a few weeks later a new series has kicked it off it's number 1 spot.
Now a Spanish miniseries has become the new number one worldwide. What is this show all about that managed to knock Bridgerton off it's trending spot?
Raising Voices Outdoes Bridgerton
Raising Voices is the new trending series on Netflix. It's an 8-episode miniseries from Spain following the story of 17-year-old Alma who seems to catch the attention of her teachers in school due to her bad grades. Then, one day she puts up a giant banner at the entrance of her school which reads, "watch out there is a rapist hiding in there".
Whether the accusation is true or not is something the cast tries to find out, with students and teachers trying to find the victim, as well as the perpetrator. Did Alma just make up a big lie, though?
The series is based off the novel by the same name by Miguel Sáez Carral. The series has shot up in popularity after it released on Netflix on May 31. The combination of teenage coming-of-age, as well as a mystery has gripped audiences to binge the miniseries which is why it's become one of the most popular shows on the platform.
On Rotten Tomatoes the series has a 70 percent rating from audiences, which isn't too bad. So, will you be watching it, sticking to shows like Bridgerton in the future?
