The Xbox game pass has been around for a long time, and not without controversies. The reveal of the new pricing plan might be the worst yet, however.
The Xbox Game Pass is a subscription model, which lets you play a wide variety of games for a monthly or yearly charge. Many people love it and many people hate it.
Now Microsoft is back with an announcement that will definitely make players scratch their heads.
Game Pass Is Now More Expensive And Won't Let You Play New Titles After Release
In a recent announcement, Microsoft stated that there will be pricing changes for Xbox Game Pass. These changes will affect new players by July 10, 2024, and current players by September 12, 2024. A new tier will be put in place for subscription.
The normal Xbox Game Pass will be replaced by the Xbox Game Pass Standard Tier. The worst thing is that the Xbox Game Pass Standard Tier will not let you play new games on the day of its release.
It will be more like streaming services, who add new movies after a time has passed since their release.
