Fast & Furious 11 will be the final chapter, one last chance to see the big family and some epic car races, apparently.
Fast & Furious 11 will bring Dominic Toretto's story to its close. The first installment began with thrilling races in 2001 and has since created many memorable moments.
In a recent interview, Louis Leterrier, the director of Fast & Furious 10, spoke about the planned release date and where the story is set to conclude. Let's take a look!
Fast & Furious 11: Everything We Know So Far
Initially, Fast and Furious centered solely around car racing. However, as time passed, the bonds between friends grew stronger, transforming them into a family that stood by each other through thick and thin.
The upcoming and final installment will not only conclude the series but also bring an end to the adventures of Toretto and his family. While there were speculations about a 2025 release, Leterrier disclosed in an interview that the finale is scheduled for 2026.
He even hinted at a specific date, the 25th anniversary of the first Fast and Furious film, which would be inJune 2026. While this date seems quite likely, Universal has not officially confirmed the release date yet.
As for the plot, he hasn't revealed much yet, but his plan is to wrap up the story in Los Angeles. After all, that's where the saga began.
It's exactly that. That's what we wanna do. We wanna bring it back home, and still have a great big journey to tell.
According to Leterrier, filming will start in September of this year, right after the completion of his current horror film. So, the announced release date seems realistic. Maybe we can anticipate some sneak peeks as soon as next year?
We're excited about the end of Fast & Furious, but it's hard to believe it really will be the end. What do you think? Will they really let it rest?
