The Gamescom Opening Night Live 2024, hosted by Geoff Keighley, gave us new announcements, release dates and more. Here are the highlights.
Gamescom 2024 is kicking off, and Geoff Keighley gave us a sneak peek of some awesome trailers at the opening night.
Sniper Elite Resistance
A new Sniper Elite is coming 2025 for the Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, PS5 & PS4. We will play a sniper in World War II, fighting again the Nazis in the occupied France. Sniper Elite Offers unparalleled sniping mechanics, stealth and tactical third-person combat.
It will also be available for the Xbox Game Pass on day one.
RoadCraft
The new game from the folks behind SnowRunner and MudRunner brings the construction simulation genre to a new setting in 2025. It'll be available on PS5 (PlayStation 5), Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
Your mission is to help cities and their infrastructure by using your construction vehicles to clear debris or reactivate factories that have been dormant.
Borderlands 4
The Borderlands franchise is going into round 4. In 2025, we will be in the role of a legendary Vault Hunter again, but this time on a brand-new planet.
We're crossing our fingers that this game won't be as disappointing as the Borderlands movie.
Goat Simulator Remastered
And the Award for funniest trailer goes to ... Goat Simulator Remastered! After making fun of every bad Remaster and Remake that we got over the last year, we got the announcement that the goat will be back in 2024.
Goat Simulator Remastered will be available on Steam, Epic Games Store, Microsoft Store, Xbox Series S/X, and PS5 and contains every DLC from the original PC version.
Dying Light: The Beast
Kyle Crane is back! Dying Light: The Beast is a standalone adventure from the zombie parkour franchise that will be available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, and PC. We don't have a release date yet.
Path of Exile 2 - Early Access
The rival of Diablo IV announced his Early Access starting on November 15. On PC as well as on Xbox Series X/S and PS5, the game will go into Early Access on November 15.
Dune Awakening
The MMO on the famous dust planet Arrakis showed some of its gameplay. In the open world we will be able to craft, build, fly and drive around and of course fight. The game will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC in early 2025.
Sid Meier's Civilization VII
The new Sid Meier's Civilization showed off some of its new mechanics and also announced its release date. Fans will have to wait until February 11, 2025 to start building and expanding their empire.
Prime Video's Secret Level Series
Amazon Prime Video is launching a new series with 15 original episodes, featuring collaborations with popular video games like God of War, Warhammer 40K, and Sifu. The series, created by the team behind LOVE, DEATH + ROBOTS, is set to premiere on December 10, 2024.
Little Nightmares 3
The horror game goes into round 3, but this time you are not alone. The third game in the series will have two main characters, meaning you can play with your friend or alone with an NPC. The game will be released in 2025 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS 4, PS5, Nintendo Switch and PC.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle
The Indiana Jones game from Bethesda has a release date. Well, two to be clear. The game will be released Xbox Series X|S and PC on December 9, 2024, and for the PS5 in the spring of 2025. It will also be included in the Game Pass on day one.
Mafia: The Old Country
The last spot got the new prequel for the Mafia franchise. This time the franchise sets its story in the brutal underworld of Sicily in the 1900s. A release date is unknown, but the developer will give us more information in December 2024.
