Hideo Kojima once revealed that he was thinking about making a game similar to The Boys – and the creator of the series would love to work with him. Will we ever see such a game?
The Boys is a show that defies conventional expectations with its extreme violence and audacity. Yet it's often the most daring endeavors, the ones that take an all-or-nothing approach, that leave a lasting impact and set new standards.
The Boys will return for Season 4 in June 2024. Among those who have been intrigued by The Boys since its first season is Hideo Kojima, who revealed his interest in the series through his work on a game that bears a striking resemblance to the Prime Video hit.
2/2and put it on hold because the concept was similar (different settings and tricks). A buddy (male/female) thing with a special detective squad facing off against legendary heroes behind the scenes. I was thinking of Mads as the lead.

Kojima And A The Boys Video Game: The Creator Says Let's "Team Up"
Eric Kripke, the creator of The Boys, and Antony Starr, the actor behind Homelander, responded just minutes after Kojima posted his tweet. Kripke suggested that Kojima should collaborate with him on a The Boys game, describing himself as a huge fan of the video game icon.
Please come make a #TheBoys game. We can team up and conquer! Huge fan, btw. #TheBoysTV

One thing is clear: someone like Kojima, who is known for his own style, would make a really interesting game based on this idea of an anti-hero story. He later expressed that his idea was quite different from what he had originally envisioned.
Nevertheless, we continue to dream of an official The Boys game by Kojima – or at least we can imagine a dark, twisted action massacre full of Supes by him.
However, Kojima's schedule is currently packed with several ambitious projects.
While fans eagerly await a release date for Death Stranding 2, Kojima continues to explore a mysterious project known as Physint, the details of which remain under wraps. His studio, Kojima Productions, also wowed audiences at The Game Awards 2023 with a teaser trailer for a new horror game called OD.
Given these commitments, it seems that we may have to wait a little longer before Kojima and his team can possibly start developing a video game inspired by The Boys.
Despite the hectic workload, there remains a glimmer of hope for an exceptional dark superhero game from the visionary creator in the future.
