One of these options is the Light Cone Manifest Store, where you can buy certain 4-Star weapons with an in game currency! With the 2.0 Penacony update, this Light Cone shop will finally have some new goods in store!
As we all know, Honkai Star Rail's weapons are called Light Cones, which can be pulled from the gacha system. Since this requires you to spend valuable Stellar Jade, which can be used for characters instead, many players prefer to go with a free-to-play friendlier alternative for their weapons.
A really reliable source of 4-Star weapons is the Light Cone Manifest Store! And we have some good news for all regulars of this little shop: HoYoverse is giving us an entirely new batch of 4-Star Light Cones with the 2.0 Penacony update, which will be live on February 6, 2024.

Honkai Star Rail: The New Light Cones in Version 2.0
Only a few hours ago, HoYoverse has officially announced, that there will be an update of the Light Cone Manifest Store with the start of version 2.0! That means: We will finally get some new free-to-play weapons!
And after checking out the new HoYoLAB article on them, we have to say, that the new Light Cones look incredibly promising! Of course, there are some that especially piqued our interest but generally speaking, they all seem to be quite strong in comparison to the first batch which was given to us with the start of the game.Light Cone Manifest Store Update

The one that definitely stood out the most is “The Day The Cosmos Fell”, which will be the new Erudition Light Cone. (The picture alone would have convinced me to buy it …)
Its effect sounds super strong and can be really useful on basically all Erudition characters! This is especially nice since the existing weapons for this path have been quite average, to say the least, and it's good to see that HoYoverse will add a new, really powerful alternative with the upcoming patch!
Honkai Star Rail: How Does The Light Cone Store Work?
As already mentioned, the Light Cone Manifest Store is a free-to-play friendly option to get your hands onto some new Light Cones.
The shop itself can be found in the Parlor Car, by talking to the Messenger in front of the Forgotten Hall. After that's done, just tell them that you want to visit the “Priceless Jewels” and you will find yourself in the Light Cone Manifest Store!
As of right now, which is before the 2.0 update, there are seven Light Cones to choose from, each for every available Path. The currency needed for the exchange is called “Lucent Afterglow” and can be acquired from clearing the Memory and Memory of Chaos stages in the Forgotten Hall.
Which one of the new Light Cones will you get first? To be honest, for me personally, the decision is a quite hard one since I don’t really enjoy playing Erudition characters, which is why the best of the new Light Cones isn’t as important to me than it could be for your account!
