Gears of War 6 seems set to be revealed this summer.
It’s been very quiet in recent years around Microsoft’s hit series Gears of War. The last mainline title, Gears 5, was released in 2019 and in 2020 we got the strategy spin-off Gears Tactics. Since then it’s been nothing but radio silence.
However, it seems like 2024 will be the year that changes. Several hints have pointed at Gears 6 being revealed this summer, with an actor from the series once again fueling speculation on social media.
Gears of War 6 Reveal Apparently Happening In June
Previously, it has been reported that an Xbox Showcase is planned for this summer where Microsoft is set to reveal a new Call of Duty, Gears of War 6 and more. Now, voice actor Liam McIntyre has fueled speculation surrounding a summer reveal.
On Twitter/X, the voice actor known for portraying JD Fenix in Gears 4 and 5, responded to a (spoiler-filled) message from a fan about a potential sequel. McIntyre reveals that Microsoft and developer The Coalition will “tell us all in June”.
I have no idea. I think @GearsofWar tells us all in June. :) https://t.co/jNxqbyTZMi

While it’s not clear if McIntyre will be involved in Gears 6, it seems like he might know something about its potential reveal. The Xbox Showcase has not been officially confirmed by Microsoft yet, who are also yet to comment on any rumors. However, it seems likelier by the day that the show will indeed happen this summer.
