A new update trailer has been released for the Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis/Monster Hunter crossover. Fans can now dive into this collaboration, which kicked off on June 12th.

Awesome Crossover Event: Final Fantasy And Monster Hunter Unite

We have been given a short but action-packed trailer showing the fierce Silver Rathalos in battle with Final Fantasy's beloved characters, Aerith and Tifa. Aerith wields a Monster Hunter-inspired Kamura Wand, while Tifa is equipped with the iconic Kirin armor and gloves.

Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis, a joint project between Applibot and Square Enix, was released on September 7, 2023. Part of the Final Fantasy VII compilation, this mobile game reimagines the timeline of the 1997 classic and its spin-offs, offering fans a fresh yet nostalgic experience.

The crossover event, which runs through July 2, offers players the chance to earn exclusive Monster Hunter-themed gear and weapons for Cloud and Zack. These limited-time items can be earned through Draw Stamps, daily login bonuses, and by completing various objectives throughout the Monster Hunter Crossover campaign. Notable rewards include up to 10,000 Blue Crystals, a 5-Star Weapon token for a free 10-draw, and a special gift from Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis.

Future Releases For Final Fantasy And Monster Hunter Franchises

Looking ahead, there are new releases on the horizon for both the Final Fantasy and Monster Hunter franchises. Capcom's Monster Hunter Wilds is scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2025. It will feature a fully open-world environment and the return of the colossal Zorah Magdaros. This new title, which was announced at The Game Awards 2023, promises to introduce more experimental mechanics, which have already received positive feedback from the early previews.

In the meantime, Square Enix is continuing to work on the final part of the Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy. The game is expected to be released in 2027. Tetsuya Nomura has reportedly completed the main story for the trilogy's closing chapter, and voice recording sessions will begin soon. Producer Yoshinori Kitase has expressed confidence in the efficiency of the development and aims to meet the high expectations of fans with a timely release.
