We've been waiting for months to find out more about Ruined King: A League of Legends Story. Is the game finally here? We take a look at the release date and more info.
So, over a year ago we found out about the upcoming turn-based RPG from Airship Syndicate and Riot Forge. We saw gameplay, got a trailer and even had spoilers this summer thanks to the Sentinels and Ruination event.
The game will take place in Bilgewater and the Shadow Isles during the event. Unfortunately, the game was not released this summer. There was complete and utter radio silence from both Airship Syndicate and Riot Forge.
That was until recently.

Release Date Coming Soon
Recently, Riot Forge tweeted out that Pyke had stolen their password. So, there was an ‘obvious’ reason why there was months-long radio silence from the distributor, but finally, we have more news.

Riot Forge will release a rhythm runner featuring Ziggs in Piltover, not the game we were expecting, but one we’re excited for nonetheless. But that still doesn’t answer the question we’re burning to know the answer to: When will we finally get Ruined King: A League of Legends Story?
Well, my friends, this could be revealed quite soon.
Free Champion Rotation
This week, the free champion rotation will include – once again – all characters from Arcane. Vi, Caitlyn, Jayce and Jinx along with other characters are playable for free in League of Legends. But the list this week is much, much longer.
Braum, Illaoi, Pyke, Miss Fortune, Ahri and Yasuo are also free to play. Is this a coincidence that this week these champions are also free to play? No. This could be a giant hint that we’re going to have the release of this much-anticipated game much sooner than we thought after that ‘Pyke stole the password’ tweet.
Also, Ziggs is another champion who is free to play and as we mentioned his own Riot Forge game is releasing as well.
