Season 11 is coming to an end and we’re going to look at some of the final changes to be hitting the Rift in LoL Patch 11.22.

LoL Patch 11.22 is set to come out next week. A whole new TFT Set will be released and, as usual, we’re also going to get some buffs and nerfs on Summoner’s Rift as well. Some changes from the previous patch will also be reverted.

Which Items and which champions has Riot put on the chopping block right before the end of the regular season? Which champs will be OP, so you can get a bit more LP and hopefully make it out of Gold? That’s what we’re going to be looking at today in our LoL Patch 11.22 Buffs and Nerfs rundown.

Item Buffs in LoL Patch 11.22

Goredrinker was hit a little too hard in LoL Patch 11.21. At least Riot thinks so, which is why the item will receive a small buff, so it’ll regain some of its strengths. Seems like the nerf was just too much for most bruisers to handle, and champions like Riven and Kayn have become obsolete.

The changes to Goredrinker include an increase of health from 400 to 450 and an Omnivamp increase from 8% to 10%.

Champion Buffs in LoL Patch 11.22

Of course, we’re also going to have some champion buffs in LoL Patch 11.22. As mentioned, Riven and Kayn haven’t had much fun with the new Goredrinker and according to the balance team the buffs won’t help them either, which is why they’ll be receiving buffs in the coming patch along with these champions:

  • Renekton - Stun changes reverted.
  • Riven - W damage increased to 65/95/125/155/185 and E shield ratio increased to 120%
  • Kayn (Rhaast) - Q AD ratio increased to 6% per 100 AD and ultimate HD ratio increased to 15%
  • Akali - Passive damage changed to 35-182 (+55% AP)
  • Kalista - E ratio increased to 70%
  • Varus - E ratio increased to 90%

How many times has Varus been buffed in Season 11 already? He continues to be a bad pick, and Akali has also felt rather lackluster, which is why she is getting buffed as well.

Champion Nerfs in LoL Patch 11.22

Yuumi has been a top-tier pick at the 2021 World Championship, which is why she is on the nerf list for LoL Patch 11.22. She has become quite popular due to the attention she’s been getting. Along with her, we have other power picks on the nerf list:

  • Qiyana - Base HP lowered to 520 and HP per level changed to 110. Q damage lowered to 50/80/110/140/170 (+80% bonus AD). E damage decreased to 50/90/130/170/210 (+60% AD)
  • Graves - Passive pellet crit damage changed to +20% damage
  • Kha’Zix - Q ratio changed to 115% bonus AD and Q Iso Ratic changed to 241.5% bonus AD
  • Yuumi - E move speed ratio changed to 6%/100 AP and heal lowered to 70/100/130/160/190 (+35% AP)
  • Maokai (Support) - Passive max HP heal decreased to 5-15% and W damage lowered to 60/100/140/180/220

Maokai support has become a key pick in solo queue thanks to his ability to crowd control enemies. He’s become one of the best picks in the current meta, and Riot is looking to root him back down on earth.

VI Updates Improve Q and R Consistency

In LoL Patch 11.22 Vi will also be getting some quality of life changes which will make her a much better pick in the jungle. She is an extremely old champion, so some of her scripts had to be changed for these changes to work. This is what we know so far:

  • Q knockback duration changed to 0.75. The dash range extends to 50 units when dashing over a wall. Distance traveled and damage are based on channeling time instead of every 0.25 seconds.
  • R knockback duration is 1.4 seconds. Her ult knock up will take effect once she is 300 units from her primary target. Nearby allies in her ult patch will get knocked back immediately.

What does all this mean for you Vi players? Well, as RiotAugust stated on Twitter:

You can reliably flash on people during Q dashR connects with the target at the exact moment they're in range to be hit (used to check range every .25s)

Those are all the changes Riot has planned for LoL Patch 11.22. Once we have the details, we’ll be sure to update you guys with all the patch details!
