With the beginning of Season 14 in League of Legends, we got tons of new items for every role in the Summoner's Rift. Besides mages, also assassins got tons of new items, and we're here to tell you everything you need to know about them. This time, we'll take a look at Profane Hydra!
With the start of Season 14, we also got tons of new items, including for assassins. Profane Hydra is one of them and joins the Tiamat family. Unlike Ravenous or Titanic Hydra, though, it's not a bruiser item this time.
LoL: Profane Hydra – Build & Stats
Profane Hydra costs 3,300 gold and is therefore a legendary item. This item grants you every stat an assassin could wish for, including Attack Damage, Lethality and Ability Haste. On top of that, it has a Passive and an Active:
Cleave and Heretical Cleave. With Cleave, you deal (40% for melee/20% for ranged) physical damage to other enemies in a 450 radius centered around your target. Your Active, Heretical Cleave, deals 100% AD physical damage to enemies in a 450 radius, which is increased to 150% AD against those below 50% maximum health (10 seconds cooldown).
To build Profane Hydra, you'll need the following items:
- Tiamat (items + 500 gold)
- Long Sword (350 gold)
- Long Sword (350 gold)
- The Brutalizer (items + 212 gold)
- Glowing Mote (250 gold)
- Pickaxe (875 gold)
- 763 gold
Champions That Should Build Profane Hydra
Profane Hydra works well with the same champs that otherwise woul build Ravenous Hydra if this item didn't exist. Examples are Zed, Talon or even Qiyana. All of them work with their AA's a lot and profit from this item's Passive and Active.
Riven can make use of this item, too, if she doesn't need the extra HP Ravenous Hydra grants her and just needs to shut down some squishy enemies.
