Run and run very fast because the Summoner's Rift has a new scarecrow in town. The latest League of Legends champion to get the complete visual overhaul is none other than Fiddlesticks and he's been causing quite the crow on the internet.
First released on February 21, 2009 (yes, that long ago), the sack of sticks was a distinguished face around the Summoner's Rift. He was considered to be rather annoying due to his consistent fear, devastating ultimate and health regeneration ability that no scarecrow should even have. Thanks to a community vote, Fiddlesticks has now been turned into a complete nightmare in his latest overhaul that brings exciting mechanics to his kit, overhauled skins, artwork reworks, and scary new voice lines.

Riot Games originally considered a possible rework for a variety of champions, with Fiddlesticks being included since the scarecrow was getting rather outdated at this point. Fans of the game cast their votes back in mid-2019 and look at what you all did – he now looks absolutely horrifying.

Glad you asked, now-terrified scarecrow enthusiasts. The overhauled Fiddlesticks comes with brand-new abilities and some old ones reworked into the new kit, keeping the Fiddlesticks identity true to the original character, especially his ultimate: Crowstorm,which seems more devastating than ever.
A departure of old
Fiddlesticks has seen a complete change from his original lore which described him as a soul inhabiting the scarecrow. With one very eery story to go along with his new identity, Fiddlesticks is now the true harbinger of doom, described as a living scarecrow who stalks the darkness wielding a wicked scythe and preying on the unwary. The short story dubbed "To our end" gives some much-needed lore we all longed for.
When can we expect the rework?
No set dates are in motion for the rework coming to the Summoner's Rift but we anticipate it will be very soon as Riot has already posted up a whole host of in-game footage, showcasing a full breakdown of his abilities, new and old. Looking at them from a glance, his new scarecrow passive "A harmless scarecrow" looks like a lot of fun. With it, he's able to essentially become the scarecrow we've always wanted, standing there menacingly as the enemy decides whether it's truly you or not.
