In order to constantly improve in EA FC 24, it is important to acquire the meta-skills over time. The ball roll scoop turn is one of these and should definitely be part of your repertoire.
The Ball Roll Scoop Turn is absolutely overpowered in EA FC 24 and leaves many opponents simply standing. You won't/shouldn't find a video about meta-skills without this skill combo. So that you too can incorporate this trick into your game, we'll show you here how it works.
EA FC 24: How Does The Ball Roll Scoop Turn Work?
First of all, you should know that the trick is actually a combination of two different ones. On the one hand, the simple Ball Roll, and on the other hand, the Scoop Turn. Doesn't sound very surprising now, shouldn't be!
To be able to perform the trick, it's important that your player has 5 Star Skills!
Furthermore, you should only use the trick when your player has enough space. Over time, you'll get the right feel and timing to hit the right moment to apply the skill.
Trick Execution:
- Left Stick remains continuously in the direction of travel
- Ball Roll: Right Stick to the left/right or up/down (depending on the direction of travel)
- At the exit: Left Stick slightly up/down so that the Scoop Turn can be executed.
- During the Ball Roll: Fake shot with Square/Circle + X or X/B + A
Between Point 2 and 3, you should note:
- Ball Roll to the left -> Left Stick/Direction of travel to slightly right
- Ball Roll to the right -> Left Stick/Direction of travel to slightly left
Between Point 2, 3, and 4 is important:
- Be fast! You have to perform the fake shot while your player is performing the Ball Roll.
You can also do the Scoop Turn in the same direction as the Ball Roll, meaning you ignore Point 3. However, your player will then turn more in a circle.
Deceive with the Ball Roll to one side and execute the Exit with the Scoop Turn to the other side.
The Ball Roll Scoop Turn also works standing still, but we recommend doing the trick while moving. This way, you create more space when the opponent runs into the void.
If it doesn't work at first: Practice makes perfect! Sounds cliché, but it's always true. Practice in training mode and in games against AI until you get better at the trick.
